Congratulations on your Approval,  your mom name is incorrect in the birth certificate or just the NOA2 ?  was it incorrect in the NOA1 ?

It is correct on both Birth Certificate (which I have not even submitted at this point) and NOA1. I called the USCIS service center and opened a service request to fix the name. Let's see if it gets fixed before the case is received by NVC. How long should I wait to call them?

Should I be part of this group?

Anyway sent my petition for my mom last week of April, check got cashed 4/27 and got my NOA1 May 1.

Haven't heard since and every time I check my status online, it gives me an error and could not find a status for my petition.

So I gave them a call today and the Tier 1 rep could not find the status as well and advised me to call again tomorrow (closed unfortunately).

Feeling a little nervous - hope nothing is wrong with my petition because I never got a RFE from them too.

Anyone going thru the same thing?

2-0. In favor of the boys.

Mine was the same. For the longest time, I got an error message (invalid case number). I called USCIS and asked them if I can speak to a Tier 2 support. He told me not to worry about the online status. It only changed to Case Received a few days before I got approved. I received my approval in the mail almost 2 weeks ago (I did not get any email or text notification). My status online is still Case Received until now. Try to call again and ask for a Tier 2 officer. After speaking to a Tier 1, I was transferred to a Tier 2 but there was no officer available at that time. I got a call back from them that night.

Thank you Berehilina,

Did you receive the documents you are waiting for our you going the DNA route? Hope everything is working out with your RFE.

I got the document from ethiopia the medical record from the hospital i was born, baptism certificate and included some other document. I believe this would show a proof. The reason for the rfe was late registered birth certificate. I sent it today and see what they respond

Hacksingh,

If the name is correct on the birth certificate then it seems to me that it was a typo error from their part.  Since you already opened a service request probably they will fix it or request a copy of birth certificate to verify the information.  But who knows with immigration services you never know.  Hope that get resolve ASAP.

Awesome Berehilina,

I am happy that you were able to submit all documentation requested.  I believe this should be more than enough for them to approve.

10.26.17 - AOS Submitted
10.27.17 - Civil Documents Submitted
11.09.17 - Documents Accepted, Case Closed @ NVC

Anybody had anything from the Nebraska center? i am getting so frustrated and scared, it seems like tons of people from other centers that submitted their I-130 have gotten back, and I submitted my mom petition on March 10th and nothing. How is this equal opportunity?
