You got checklist very late. I hope you get the case complete soon.. o should not have got the checklist but they told me document is missing which I checked 10 times before sending. Why did you get check list though? Mine was missing document and birth certificate does not meet the criteri. I resend the same birth certificate since that was issued by correct authority and this time they approved.

Interesting peoples different experiences. I pretty much get the opposite reaction, especially post Trump. People wonder if I'm crazy for wanting to leave my country where I have a high paying job and great leave entitlements.  My response is that I can't stand my government either, the heart wants what the heart wants, and I'm in denial about giving up my 4 weeks annual leave, 4 day Easter break and the fact I legally can't be fired for being gay. Lol.

Case complete!!! I woke up to the 3 N/A's and "AT NVC" on my status. I just got off the phone confirming its true!

Scan date:  31st January

Case Complete:  14th April

 

NVC will now send my file to the embassy, who will contact me with an interview date (embassy will contact me instead of NVC), as I have an expedite at the embassy stage.   My hubby leaves in 3 weeks for a friends wedding in 4 weeks.  I probably won't get to fly with him but at least I won't be stuck in an abyss of not knowing!

I just checked to see if our AOS fee had changed status. It now says PAID but there is now nothing to select for the IV fee? Is this just normal for when they are finishing processing the first fee? Yesterday it had the button to pay the IV fee but of course it couldn't be selected because the AOS fee payment was in progress.

According to NVC, gentleman I spoke to 2 days ago he said it's normal and told me to give it 3 wks.

My AOS stat has been "PAID" since Apr 11, but to date, the IV fee still cannot be selected. I called today and tbe lady said to wait until next week.

Oh I've had untold numbers of people ask me why I would want to go there now, including american friends telling me to wait til Trump is out of office. But when it comes down to it, I can't let him control whether I continue on with my life plans... to buy land, build our house, and build a life for our family.  Like you, I had a great high paying job before going on my current maternity leave, and the option to go back.  At lease twice what I can get in the USA. But the heart wants what the heart wants, we've prayed and know this what we're meant to do.

Couldn't agree more, although I wanted to move to my husband in the UK.  Free healthcare, tax responsibility falls on the employer, cheap salmon/seafood, nature, mountains, affordable homes instead of concrete confinement...

 

P.S. Congrats on the  baby   Do you know the gender and when're you due?

hey the nvc site said my aos and iv are in process what are the 3n/a ppl keep talking about ?? i have a lawyer so t was done through him?? i paid on wed so when should i call?

Oh I've been on maternity leave since June 2016, our baby girl was born in July last year.   We came back to NZ to take advantage of the free healthcare (although we still got a lot free in Australia where we lived at the time), and to ensure family got to spend some time with us all before we did the big move.

And we are moving to Denver Colorado to ensure we get the nature, mountains, etc ... I think the same way as you, we don't want to live in a concrete jungle.

I am...so jealous.  We are hoping after settling in the states to weigh our options in other states or perhaps even the UK after restrictions are lifted.  I was definitely raised in the wrong state!  Hope you get your case complete notification soon!

"Not Applicable" NVC status on the ceac website - Indicates a case complete.

Check section 2.5 of the NVC process doc in my signature.
