NVC letter for Manila embassy

Good day everyone. I have questions concerning the NVC letter I am supposed to receive from the national visa center. Our K1 fiance visa case is approved and at the Manila embassy. I am all ready to schedule the interview for three weeks from now but I don't have the NVC letter yet. I received my case number from the NVC on Friday March 24th. I was told that if I don't have the NVC letter I can use a screenshot from the CEAC Tracker website that says my visa packet is ready. Is this true or do I absolutely need the NVC letter? How long does that letter normally take for a K1 fiance visa

A copy of the NVC letter is generally needed to be scanned and emailed so the beneficiary has a copy when they go to do their medical at St Lukes along with the other required items.

As long as you have the case number you can technically go a head and schedule the interview and the medical. Leave 1-2 weeks between the medical and the interview. Once CEAC says "Ready for interview", schedule it.

Also can go a head at any point and complete CFO, just if done before the interview the beneficiary has to return to get the stamp/certificate in their passport after their receive actual visa. as well as now start obtaining(if haven't already) NBI, CENOMAR, birth certificates, ect..

Also you as the petitioner need to start with the I-134 and supporting documentation so that you can send an original "wet" signature of the I-134 form to the benfificary(recommend FedEx or DHL for this)

I will be going to Manila for her interview with my fiance. I suppose she can try to get the medical using the screenshot and if it doesn't work I well have to wait for the NVC to send it

The NVC letter OR the interview confirmation page are needed for the medical.  You don't need to have both.

No reason to leave 1-2 weeks between medical and interview.

(you keep giving bad advice)

No worries if you don't have the NVC letter.  Requirement for SLEC is a copy of the NVC letter OR copies of the interview confirmation page.   You can bring a screen shot of the CEAC page as that shows your MNL# ... that always makes SLEC happy.

You don't have to wait until CEAC status shows your case file is ready for the interview.  Having CEAC showing the MNL# will be fine.

I concur with Sagot on this one as well. You can have the medical the first part of the week and the interview later on that week. If there is an issue it will be brought up at the interview anyway and they will give you a paper requiring more evidence.

I had my medical exam last Wednesday, March 29,  without the NVC letter. Had a screenshot of CEAC website saying "ready" and the interview confirmation page, the guard accepted them without any question. Yes, I even scheduled the interview without the letter on hand as well. Came to SLEC at 4:15am, the clinic opens at 4:30. Had previously registered online, it's better to do so as you'll be given priority than those who came without.

I was one of the early birds and the entire medical was done by 9 am. Upon returning to the USA counter for checkout, they gave an option whether I'd like to wait up for the results and come back at 1pm or just return the next day. Ofcourse I was willing to wait! Would probably lose some sleep if I won't know the result. Anyway, was staying at a nearby hotel and decided to go  back there to take a nap.

Came back to the clinic and sat in the check-out waiting area, the same area as the Xray section at 12:30 and my name was called a few minutes before 1pm, being summoned to the immunization room. Yippee!

After getting the vaccines, the nurse told me to wait at the releasing section downstairs. After sitting on one of those monobloc chairs for 3 hours, was finally called to a counter. Hooray!

The staff then arranged the results, I did ask if there were any abnormalities on the blood test, etc. he said he wasn't allowed to disclose anything of that nature but did clarify some findings. He then handed me back my passport (should be with you after every counter/area), a sealed brown envelope with the medical results and a CD of chest Xray image. The envelope will be brought to the interview with all the other required documents.

And as I already have the medical result on hand, decided to reschedule my interview appointment to an earlier date. Called the appointment line at the embassy and she willingly helped to do so. :)

Question. Did you send in your ds160 before you set the interview or did you set the interview and then send in the ds160?

Requirements have changed on that recently.   Embassy states to complete the DS-160 BEFORE scheduling your interview.    And for the life of me I can't find the page where I read it at the moment... I will, eventually. ;)
