Is it just my impression or the cases that requested the supervisor take longer than those who didn't? It seems that the fact that someone requested the supervisor to take a look into the case will postpone the completion of the case.

I've wondered the same thing. For example I'm at just over 8 weeks, and I'm worried if I got  supervisor review it could throw it into another queue for up to 11 weeks, instead of waiting out these extra weeks to get to 11 weeks.  I just wish it was possible to see where its at

Hi all, brand new here! We submitted our info to NVC for my Irish husband's IR-1 visa, scan date January 30. Our original letter stated a review time of 2-4 weeks, so this wait has been a surprise. I've phoned a few times and was told last week to wait until tomorrow (March 31) and to call then if we haven't received a response.

Thank you! We were hoping to move back to the US this summer, but I'm not sure that the timing will work out now. We will be completing our interview at the embassy in Stockholm and I don't know how quickly we can expect an interview.

All the best to you too :)

Dear all,

I have been following VJ for a few weeks now, 9.5 in fact. Just received my Case complete verification from an NVC agent, very courteous, who informed me our case was completed March 30th, ie today!!!

Our timeline is as follows (we used an attorney)

IV submitted: 01/13/2017

Civil and financial documents delivered by courrier: 01/19/2017

Scan date: 01/23/2017 (NVC confirmed receipt date)

Case completed: 03/30/2017 (3 N/A ~ 10am EST, confirmed with NVC agent by phone - total wait and call time around 10 minutes)

The agent couldn't provide an estimate into when to receive an interview date but fingers crossed it will happen in April...Haven't felt so elated in a while!

Good luck to all of you waiting on a CC

Zebracakex thank you for the congratulations all the best to you as well.

I had not asked for a supervisor review, I started calling the NVC once the 8 weeks went by based on the courier date.

Basically I called at 8 weeks, 9 weeks and today were 10 weeks post submission by courrier (9.5 based on scan date). I was contemplating asking for a supervisor review today but was also hesitant based on the concerns aforementioned regarding extending the review time.

Week 8: I was informed the documents were received and notified of their scan date

Week 9: I was told they are in the review department

Week 10: I called to ask for the status update and mentioned seeing the AOS as N/A instead of PAID. The agent interrupted and mentioned that the case was completed.

I asked for the timeframe to interview, the agent said they could not provide one but to keep checking for an email.

Every time I call I am told I am in review department too. Just got off the phone and was told the same thing. They do not say  " Supervisor Review " . I don't know if its just the wording or means something . Hoping I would get some good news soon.  Thank You

It's really hard to have plans as we really have no clue how long we have to wait, it is best to plan if we have the visa on hand.. because case completion waiting time varies, as well as the schedules for interview dates,

I am wishing you all the best too
