I am very happy to inform all of you that i had my interview on the 2nd of march and it was very sucessful, i arrived at the US embassy in Ghana at 7:30am because my interview was scheduled for 9:30am. I went through all the security checks before being allowed into the premises.

At about 9:40am, all winners of the DV lottery were called to window 2 where we were given some instructions on how they want our documents to be arranged and presented. The lady also gave us a print out of the amount to be paid as visa fees which was 330USD . we were immediately asked to make payment  with the cashier.

I took a seat for about an hour before my name was mentioned to enter window 3. i was actually the first dv lottery applicant to be called.

The lady then took my biometeric information after which she took all my documents including photocopies.

note: the document includes

1. medical report

2. police report

3. birth certificate (with photocopy)

4. US size passport picture (2)

5.passport

6. educational certificates ( wassce certificates, university certificates and other educational certificates) (with photocopies)

After presenting all my documents..i took a seat for about another 1hour then i was called to window 5 for the real  interview

I was  called by a nice and beautiful white lady to window 5 ....i greeted her and she responded with a smile.

This is how the interview went

Me: Good morning how are you ?

CO: I'm very well thanks

CO: Please raise your hand a repeat after me( you will take a n oath)

CO: i am going to ask you a few questions about your educational background

Me: ok no problem

CO: What grade did you make in maths

What is the name of the university yo attended

What course did you read ?/

Where are you currently working and as what??

I guess you love what you do and will like to do same in the US

Who are you going to stay with in the US??

How long has he been living there??

with a smile she pulled out a blue sheet and said that " I am going to grant your visa, pick it up in a few weeks time" have a safe trip and welcome to America.

I was soo excited and overwhelmed at how smooth things went.

i wish anybody who is yet to go for their interview  all the best and they have to be confident and pray for God's guidance.

It took a lot of prayers

FALILATU first congratulations on your process. Hope everything goes well with your new "life".

Would you mind sharing a little bit of how long did it take you to go thru the entire visa process? Since you submitted the I-129F to the final interview, how was your waiting experience?

Thanks in advance.

It's a DV case, I129 does not apply.

Ok, I can see you're a new member. This is in the diversity visa forum, so it's a completely different process to your case. You should follow the forums that deal with K1 or you might get very confused' because different visas have different processes and timelines. Good luck!
