Thank you so much guys!

! @Name O Boy are you a VSC or a CSC filer?? Did you receive your approval as well?

Hi there, I am CSC applicant and most probably will not get my new GC because I have filed for naturalization.

Received RFE yesterday because we filed 5 days late. We only need to submit a letter stating why in good cause we were late. After reading the forums, seems we should have included a Cover letter stating why we were late saving us from this dreadful RFE with our original post. Anyone who is reading this for 2018 and thinking of submitting on the cusp of your expiration, don't do it. Submit early. Mad our lawyer who submitted everything for us didn't mention any of this. We thought the 90 days was a grace period post expiration not before (Our dumb fault).

None of the online status checkers are updated. Still Received at Local Office.

Wish us luck!

Met my wife 2010, NYC

Married to my beautiful creature of a wife (Irish) May 16, 2014

Interview (ironically Paddy's Day) March 17, 2015, Approved a week later

GC Expiration March 23, 2017

Filed March 28th, 2017

RFE March 22, 2018

Don't worry. Send them a cover letter with an explanation of sending the form late. Include evidence since you have filed for the ROC. Make sure you don't forget to attach the original RFE letter and make a copy of it for your records, regards.

I also filed for naturalization and will go to my biometrics appointment next week.

I have received no approval notice in the mail for my I-751 but they sent me a update online telling me my card is "We are producing your card and will mail it to you".

If don't know how long my greencard will take to arrive because the USCIS seem to treat people very differently with notifications. Time to sit and wait 👍🔛📬📧🔜

So what did you do? Do they expect mortgages from couples? We sent three different leases that we've been under, but we rent...

We explained in a letter that we don't have that and why we don't. Also we sent them affidavits from family and one of them also explained that he owns the house and we are living in it.

Congratulations my friend. You will get your new GC soon. You are absolutely right USCIS is pretty inconsistent with its procedures. Fingers crossed that we all soon will finish our last journey with USCIS successfully :)

Yes, it came in the mail on march 2. Few days after my status updated to "Received at local office". My online status updated to "RFE received" few days after we sent it back. They gave me until may 29 to reply.

Do I take it then that your ROC was expedited after you applied for Naturalization? Because I would like to speed things up as well but I am all exhausted on funds to give the government lol.
