Hey there @Caramel Swirl! NVC asked me for another sponsor last January 23rd. I do not know why, but I just complied. My income and my husband's are way more than the income guidelines and I am very confused why they asked for another one. They received it February 1st and I haven't heard anything from them until now. :(

That is so weird, why would they even do that.  Obviously someone IS NOT paying attention, unfortunately at our expense.  Praying this last submission will satisfy their thirst.  Keep us posted.

Good luck to all of us!!!

You should submit an I-864. I've read that form I-864 are for people entering the US with immigrant visas and form I-134 are for people entering with non-immigrant visas.

I think they have accepted the last sponsor I've submitted (Thank goodness)! But since it has already been over a year, they now asked for my mom's NBI clearance to be renewed. UGH! But I think I;m getting there. I hope at least she gets here before my birthday!

@jennnnnnnnnna Good to hear your process is getting finished. How did you know they accepted the documents? Did you get any email? I also send some additional documents on Feb 1st. Did not get any response. Did you call them to know the status? Thanks a lot

Hi everyone! Just sent the I-130 for my mom and younger brother on 01/30/18. It was received on 2/2/18. Haven't gotten a notification text yet and the checks haven't been cashed. Feeling nervous that its complete. I checked it over and over to the best of my ability. Please send me prayers and good vibes as we are on this journey. It would be a blessing to have my mom and brother here with me instead of living alone. I came here on a k1 and that process was hell. I had a traumatic experience with my ex and then had to fend for myself in order to become a citizen. I'm happy that they allowed me to apply. I hope Trump's policies don't interfere in people becoming reunited with their loved ones. If you're still reading this. Thank you and bless you !

Hey Aroo....first....congrats on becoming a citizen and yes this immigration journey can be a big struggle, lots of sacrifices etc.  With this new president, anything can go up in smokes, but we are trusting that God will see us through the challenges.

Secondly, we are always here to help you through whatever questions and concerns that might pop up.  You might however want to join the January 2018 forum http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/661436-i-130-filers-of-parents-for-january-2018/

as they are more in line with your case progress and you will be able to track in a more realistic way.

All the best in getting your family together again.  Good luck to all of us!!!

When they reviewed the most recent Affidavit of Support I sent, they called my mom to ask a couple questions. That same day, I received an email from them requesting for her NBI clearance. I would think if they needed anything else aside from that, they could've included on that email. So I just assumed that they have accepted it.

They received the NBI clearance yesterday, so I'm hoping they get to review it tomorrow and we hear back from them soon. Good luck to all of us!

It's a RFE

@AbiesThank you very much for your reply. I received the RFE letter and also sent the additional documents to them already.

What is the content of the NOA2? Are they going to ask another additional documents from me? I want to know so that I can gather it ahead of time in case I don't have it yet. Appreciate anybody's reply. Thank you very much.

@Lane O Hi there! I'm waiting for my mom's petition to get approved. Since you just had your mom's petition approved, would you mind sharing to me what documents they need so that I can gather ahead in case I need my mom to send some documents to me here in the US. In case also she needs to get government documents like NBI.

Appreciate your reply.

Hi,

I still don't have my case number but my sis back in the Philippines are gathering the following documents.

1. Parents Marriage Cert

2. Mom's Birth Cert

3. Police Clearance

4. NBI

5. Dad's Death Cert

Once I got my NVC case number, they will let me what are the documents I need to send to them.
