It seems that they are working on July, i have seen few poeple got interview letters from July filers.

Interviews for people who filed in July 2016? Usually they don't schedule interviews so late in the process, thats the norm at least.

I was thinking if they see something wrong they would schedule an interview in advance.

Either way, we should get our approvals by April-May next year.

Absolutely ridiculous USCIS process, so much backlog, just one year has made so much difference.

Very confusing how they proceed with interviews. ZeeQ from  our group january 2017 fillers had an interview scheduled recently so its interesting timeline to say the least

Unfortunately it seems like the norm now. RFEs, interview notices, and approvals are all coming at the same time - the first time they actually touch our applications. Maybe they'll get their butts in gear soon!:clock:

Is your timeline updated?

Hi everyone,

I had my I-751 interview today and my permanent green card got approved! They said that I should get the card in mail within the next 30 days! The interview went fine, we thought we were prepared but we were asked a lot of questions which we didn't prepare for! All in all it was good since we didn't really have anything to hide!

Did they tell you why you had an interview? I mean, it's so early for January filers... They are processing June/July now...

Thank you everyone! The questions I was asked were where my husband works, what his income was in 2016, details on mortgages for our joint property, pictures taken with each other's families, proof of joint credit cards, insurance, bank statements, what my job was, etc.

I had a quick question though. Do we have to submit proof of a bonafide marriage once again when we apply for Naturalization? Will we still need to have one of those interviews where they ask both the spouses to come? Just want to know if we need to go through this process all over again or not.

You have the option to include the evidences or not, but I would suggest to include it to stream down the interview process and I would suggest that you should have your spouse on your interview day in case they have additional information that your spouse can answer it. Better be ready in any circumstances than sorry.

That is awesome, congratulations!

While July 2016 filers are being processed you skipped about a 8-10 months of waiting time and got approved, that is just fantastic!

That too because you were missing some documentation, so they called you for an interview, I am not sure how that worked, it was probably one in a million case, where they picked your file by mistake. But either way, this is great news for you and for all of us! We are happy for you.

Congratulations :D

regards

Steve
