csc...feb 26th local office received the case...what does it mean?

It means that csc and vsc are so backlogged they're transferring files to local offices. In your case, that is if your timeline is correct, it may not apply as this is the thread for people who are trying to remove conditions, that is, get the 10 year GC.  Since I am well beyond AOS, this transfer process might not apply.  If your timeline is out of date, then may I suggest you read earlier pages in this thread and possibly others under Removing Conditions to become aware of what's been happening to ROC filers, and adjust your timeline to reflect your current status

Local offices are those located near you that interview, do biometrics, and handle info pass appts.  CSC and VSC are larger centers that handle the processing of applications and petitions.

Am I the only one whose case didn't transfer to local office?  Can you tell me which receipt number to use to check the case, the one on the extended letter or the one on the biometric letter? Thanks

Should be the NOA, extended letter.  I am wondering if more CSC cases were transferred rather than VSC cases?

Signature coming soon...

I am a January 2017 ROC filer and I have also applied for citizenship in November 2017. My I751 case was at VSC all this time and yesterday when I checked with the 1st receipt number it said that on March 4th my case was transferred to the local office. I thought of it as a glitch but when I look at the case history in the bottom it gave me the status of my 2 unanswered service requests. I had filed my second  service request on February 22nd with the status that said it has been assigned to an officer for response. On February 26th it says "As of February 26, 2018, your inquiry about why your case is taking longer than our processing time, , is currently not assigned for processing."

On March 4th it was transferred to the local office.

I strongly feel that all of us waiting should hear something soon.

I checked the Receipt number: WAC no on my 1 year extension letter, it says, that,

"On March 5, 2018, we received your Form I-751, Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence, Receipt Number #####, at your local office"

I think CSC cases are being transferred to local offices because of the crazy backlog.

regards

Steve
