my husbands expires 12/23/16 and I applied on 11/21/16 for NOA1 12/05/16 notice on 12/08/16.... :thumbs:

03-19-2021: Officially an American Citizen 🇺🇸 Entire journey from initial K-1 Visa filing to Naturalization took 5 years, 8 days.

Hi all,

We called them and said we want to send a new package, they told us not to because sometimes it can be approved. I dont think so but I think I will have to wait and pay more if it will be after December 23rd. It is really bad to wait by knowing that it will be rejected and can not do anything.

Hi all,

Today, our payment 1070$ was cashed by Chicago office. You remember that I picked the wrong category on I-765 form (which should be © (9) but I picked (a) (6))

This seems like a good progress but I wanted to ask if any of you had your package returned after they got the payment like this? Do you think that they might send the whole package back after getting the payment check cashed only for this mistake after this point?

A6 will expire when the i94 expires if i'm not mistaken. Which is why you do C9 with AOS

Hımm maybe in my case since I94 is not expired, they accepted and did not send the package back for this reason. We will see I will update you all if anything else happens.

but for now so far:

Package received by Chicago lockbox in December 6th

Personal check cashed December 16th.

No notification yet.

It is possible that you got lucky and will have your category mistake corrected for you instead of being rejected, hopefully.

Yes, I think I got lucky cause I received 3 text messages for my Form I-485, Form I-131 and Form I-765. And an e-mail telling that they accepted my case and routed to the USCIS National Benefits Center for processing.

So after that if anything is missing or wrong, they just send RFE, right? no risk for sending my whole package back and rejecting?

Good luck for everyone, this is a really difficult process and waiting.

You could call them now that you have receipt numbers and put in a service request for correction of the category if you'd like I guess... Idk if they do it/will do it/ already have done it... but I would try it just to know I did what I could :) good luck

Hi all,

I am fully sure but if the total amount is correct, two checks should not be a problem, hopefully.

I received my notification in mail as hardcopy on Saturday. I think I have to wait till they contact me for biometrics etc, right?

My package was returned for i-485  and EAD , SHALL I SEND THE SAME PACKAGE BACK TO USCIS  LOCK BOX WITH THE MISSING I-797C OR DO I HAVE TO MAKE ANY  CHANGES 

? URGENT HELP
