Dang that's rubbish. I responded to an RFE and have not recieved any feedback on that, instead they send me an extension letter!!!!! 🙄

Hey Val2014.

Please let us know USCIS sent you, once you receive the mail from them. At least you received something from them. I did not hear back from them either. I requested online a week ago  to provide me an update but nothing heard from them yet.

Ok I will. Although someone said it's just the new extension letter. So I think that's all it is. Additionally I found this online which explains why they are reissuing the extension letters. I'm sure you will get one too

Myself and another user literally just posted about this, it's the new Extention letter, they must have sent it out by accident not knowing we've already got our cards, typical USCIS

OMG!!!

I got the message from informed delivery today as well, and I'm out of the country...and  I WAS FREAKING OUT!!! until I read your post just now....and I'm like OH EMMMM GEEEE.......but still,  I'm trying to get in touch with one of my neighbors, and ask her to please find that very personal-extremely-sensitive document to CONFIRM me that it is just what you said...a "new extension letter"...I don't think I will be able to sleep if I don't find out...I mean we are out of the country, just left this past weekend...and what if in my case is something different?? aaghhh!!! Hi Nissart,

Thanks Otawel. I received this letter today and the only thing they asked me was a copy of our Marriage Certificate.

I guess green card will come soon.

Thanks again for sharing your experience.

Regards,

Pascal

Hey just wanted to confirm that it was the new extension letter. You should be getting yours soon too. Although it's a waste of time since web been pending longer that 18months. But I guess its a computer generated. So its just doing its job.

Thanks for the information. Have you initiated inquiry about your case for going out of normal processing time?

Hey Montu.developer my case isn't technically out of normal processing times. My time line is as follows;

NOA1 12.29.16

FEB GLITCH

RFE 6.29.2018

RFE RECIEVED BY USCIS 7.9.2018

RFE PENDING 22 DAYS TODAY.

So I am hoping to get a response to my RFE any day now.

I am a joint filer.

Iv heard some people say they had to wait one week before getting a response to their RFE, others have said a month. I guess it verifies based on the person adjudicating your case and they work flow/load.

Val - I didn't receive extension letter yet. I am not sure if I will be receiving an extension letter for 18 months because my 18 months are completed since I filed petition for i-751. I guess It won't be worth for them to send me.

I also created an online inquiry asking where my case has been transferred to but I haven't heard anything yet. Their automatic email says i should be receiving information about my inquiry by August 15th. I received a letter on March 29 saying it was transferred to NBC. When I created online account, it shows my case was transferred on March 30th as well. I called and phone says my was transferred to VSC and talked to customer service over the phone and they mentioned it is in CSC. I did not receive an official NOA for 30 March transfer. So I asked them where my case been transferred to. But it doesn't seem I will be getting anything.

I also noticed that CSC date moved back again to Nov 2016. Not sure what is happening. It seems it will take forever to adjudicate the case.

@montu.developer - I know, this process is sodoubting. I went to an info pass appointment yesterday to find out about my pending RFE & see if I am going to be scheduled for an interview. Agent at infopass said my rfe was recieved in Calif which I already knew. She said it had not been reviewed yet, and could take a very long time, even longer than 60 days. 😔. She said I will be notified in the mail of the next steps or if a decision has been made.

Sigh. This could take a while so the best thing is to just go back to regular life & not to think of this until you see something in the mail.
