So visa bulletin for f2a in July is "C". How long do you guys think it's gonna stay current before it retrogresses? Also, any idea why it jumped to C?

I learned from another thread that it is gonna stay current till September and the number of applications in F2A decreased it seems.

My I-130 is not approved yet,its been 1 year and 2 months only.I am going to apply for AOS based on filing date.

I dunno who will benefit from this date jump.

Do you have a link to that thread? How did people predict it's gonna stay current till September? My I-130 is currently 1 year 8 months so hopefully I get my approval soon. Best of luck!

It is mentioned in the visa bulletin itself,at the bottom.

Here is it.

D.  FAMILY-SPONSORED SECOND PREFERENCE VISA AVAILABILITY

F2A: This category has become "Current" for July, and is expected to remain so through September. This action has been taken in an effort to generate an increased level of demand. Despite the large amount of registered F2A demand, currently there are not enough applicants who are actively pursuing final action on their case to fully utilize all of the available numbers under the annual limit.

Once large numbers of F2A applicants do begin to have their cases brought to final action, it will be necessary to establish a date in an effort to control number use within the annual limit.  Therefore, readers should be aware that this “Current” status will not continue indefinitely, but it is not possible to say at present how soon corrective action will be required.

Are you currently in the States?

If you have submitted I-130 that long ago, you have been eligible to aply for AOS starting from June 1st, 2019. So technically you could have started the process 2 weeks ago.

I (LPR) applied for my husband (currently in the States on H1B) on June 3 (first business day in June 😂) and we have already received his Notices of Action for I-485, I-765 and I-131. Now we wait for biometrics appoitment.

But the thing is - we submitted our I-130 only 7 months ago, so I'm not sure if we'll still have to wait at least 1 year and 3 months more or will they just schedule us for the interview now (since his priority date is current) and approve it right away. We'll see 😊

I was under the impression that i can only apply after June 15.Have to wait and see what this big change means.?

If:

- you submitted your I-130 before 08 MAR 2019 and,

- you are in US on other legal non-immigrant status and,

- you are not ineligibe to adjust your status based on some legal requiements (for example you commited a crime or overstayed your visa on some point),

Then - based on Visa Bulletin June 2019, you are eligible to apply for AOS starting from June 1st.

Its because we were allowed to use the second chart in Visa Bulletin for June 2019 ("Dates for filling") to adjust the status.

Awesome! Good luck and please let us know if they'll make you wait addtional months to process and accept your I-130 or if they'll schedule you now for the interview and approve your green card now 😃
