After over a year of filing the I-751 my husband received the letter of approval. We were not asked to interview as we provided as much information as possible. No immigration officers at our house. F

I appreciate everyone posting updates! What a painfully slow process. My one year extension expired November 9th. I haven't got my passport stamped though as I'm not planning on leaving the country for another year, my SS card doesn't appear to have any restrictions, and I'm also 40 weeks pregnant and don't fancy driving 3 hours to the nearest USCIS center. 

 

Is there any time estimate for the California service center people?

Our story...

Met online in 2006. Visited in 2007 for three months, found out I was pregnant.

Married June 2014 (L)

Adjustment of Status

Sep-26-2014 (Day 0) Sent I-130 and I-485 to Chicago via USPS Express Mail

Sep-29-2014 (Day 3) AOS Delivered

Oct-03-2014 (Day 7) Checks processed, texts with NoA

Oct-08-2014 (Day 12) Hard copy NoA in mail

Oct-14-2014 (Day 18) Biometrics Appointment letter for 10/21/2014

Oct-21-2014 (Day 25) Biometrics completed

Oct-27-2014 (Day 31) I-485 changed to Testing and Interview

Nov-03-2014 (Day 38) Interview letter received for December 4th!

Dec-04-2014 (Day 69) Interview, approved on the spot.

Dec-05-2014 (Day 70) I-485 status card production ordered/I-130 approved.

Dec-12-2014 (Day 77) Green Card in hand.

Nov-07-2016 (Day 0) Sent I-751

Nov-09-2016 (Day 2) NOA1

The current processing for CSC is around 15 months on average based on VJ thread. You never know things could change for CSC. Let's hope CSC pick up some speed.

Hello Stella ! I was able to get an appointment on Nov 6 in Chicago:jest:. It took me four days in a row looking for an appointment until I could finally get one. My advice: try between 6:00 AM and 9:00 AM. To be honest I tried hours before and nothing came up (And let me tell you I woke up every hour after midnight until 4:00 AM... and What a struggle !the system never updated for me in those hours:blink: )

Also, if you leave near the local office they have a Kiosk where you can make your appointment... I believe they have a bigger time window there and more appointments available 

Also, let me tell you that they gave me the extension for only 6 months, they said We should get our GC by May. Another couple Removing Conditions was in the same situation and also was extended 6 months only. They let me keep the letter and my expired conditional GC. Both have a mark indicating they are expired. I had a great experience with the Lady attending me... She answered my thousand questions and was very well informed of everything.

Thank you. It was signed by Gregory Richardson, service center Director. Also my status changed this morning to new card being produced.

Hi guys, Do you see the other months charts, I am worried about the time because I want to move :( Hubby and I dont like where we are living right now and we are planning to move beginning of next year. I am seeing california is taking so long!!!

If you ever move you need to send two address change forms. One is AR-11 send by the immigrant spouse and I-865 sponsor's Notice of Change of Address. CSC is taking forever and the average processing time is around 15 to 16 months.

Hi everyone I just came back from immigration. My extension letter NOA is about to expire in 2 days Nov.17th.(Vermont C)

I finally got stamp in my passport valid till November 15th 2018 (officer destroyed my expired GC) also I asked immigration officer how to file N-400 and her answer was clear, Do NOT file for naturalization process before you  receive your 10y GC because they can't get any information for how long is going to take entire processing time at VC. Good luck to everyone

Hello everybody,

 I just wanted to let you know that today I went to my local immigration office because my NOA1 date was approaching in 2 days and I travel out of the country for work. I went there to get an I-551 stamp in my passport and was granted a 6 month stamp. I went in with an emergency appointment cuz getting an InfoPass appointment was almost impossible. we were there for 2 hours and no other issues. While I was there the agent let me know my GC was approved on 11/13 but I noticed that it hasn’t been updated in the system yet.  Any idea what to expect next? Or how long it takes for card to be received?  Online it still shows the message ‘fees waived”. 

Anyone having the same problem?
