Nothing fancy, I believe it's just the USCIS app (Case Tracker & Searcher - for USCIS Immigration), the only use it had for me was just refreshing my case to see if there was any progress instead of checking email and the website.  I guess it proves to be useful though since I haven't received an email or text yet! Try not to stress too much, even take a day or two not checking. I hadn't actually refreshed mine in a couple of days because I was feeling so glum from reading how slow they were processing, so it was a really nice surprise.

I called the USCIS a few hours ago asking what is up with my case. I told them how other cases are getting approvals that were submitted late October through early November. And mine should have already been approved or at least gotten an RFE. He told me I was wrong because the California office is exactly 5 months behind and they are working on cases now from late August. I explained to him about how I can track all the cases online and I'm part of a group forum that all does the same thing. He still said I was wrong and the USCIS hasn't checked any cases submitted past August yet. Then he hung up on me.

This is extremely frustrating seeing my case has been completely passed over and there is absolutely nothing I can do. I pay $20k-$25k dollars in taxes every year just to have someone working for the government completely lie to me about my case.

And yes, I know, there is always a few other people that are waiting longer than me and I need to be patient.

Man I feel you. Try to get to your love for a bit I know it's far but you'll feel better. There may be a way to "meet in the middle" if you don't want to travel so far. For example, my fiancee is Filipina and they automatically issue visas in Costa Rica if I decided to make a short trip of it and she was agreeable to flying all that way. BTW looks like I will pay more than $30k this year. You'd think I'd get front row 50 yard line tickets.

I guess I will have to kill a good glute excerise tomorrow at the gym, so I don't think too often much about my NOA2! Lol. I gotta redirect my focus on those buns, maybe my NOA2 will come after ?

Today was back day, the gym has been a good stress reliever!!!

... (Still a WIP!!!) a tool for synchronizing watching a streaming video over the Internet. Take a wild guess where that last idea came from... hint: movie nights!

My god we need that sync for movie night feature.  In our life it's like, on FaceTime, "Hey sweetie, turn your computer around so I can see your screen...."  "Okay"  "Okay we're good now...."  "No, you're a half second ahead of me..."  "Oh, okay, hang on..."  "Okay is that better?"  "Shoot, now I'm ahead of you...."  "Should we just turn the volume down?"  "No, we can do this, turn your screen back around for a second......"  LMAO

Exactly the response I've got the other day... my guess is that USCIS hired 3rd party customer support service which can check your case status from the official website or take information from you to change DOB/address for your case. That's it. The customer rep. that answered me didn't even knew that most Sep/Oct case are already approved. I think the only time I stoke to a true USCIS officer is when I requested expedited processing with a valid reason, but even that didn't worked out..

Spoiler

Unfortunately (or maybe fortunately)  USCIS is not funded by taxpayers, but through fees that we pay for the petitions. So there are truly are no leverage on them at this point.. to cover their butts they are using that 5 month processing time schedule just to turn us down via that 3rd party customer support.. To them all Noa 1 petitions dated between past August and now are "within normal processing times".

This is my first time on this blog, but man am i so happy to have found you'll. I actually didn't know that i was waiting for a NOA2. But I'm glad to find that out. I received NOA1 on 11/18/2016 indicating that CSC received my petition on 11/14/2016. Once i read you'll post i ran to the mail box to see if i've recevied anything. I didn't, but i have very high hopes that it will soon arrive. Thank you all for posting. I will update when i receive NOA 2. By the way, what is the purpose of NOA 2. Is it to request any new information if needed or is it to give their decision? or both?

Thanks in advance,

NOA2 means the I-129F was accepted and it can proceed to the NVC for processing. ETA roughly 30 days. Then it goes to the embassy and the beneficiary can actually apply for the K-1 visa.
