Please help us be optimistic

We are paranoid thst we might not get approved because we have not been knowing eachother for very long. Just 6 months. But we are married. I only visited him one time. We love eachother so much and are afraid. Can you give us some advice on how to not worry and be optimistic. Or give us your experience. We would appreciate the extra help. What are the reasons why people get denied?

A big reason for being denied is not enough time spent together. If at all possible I would plan some visits either in Egypt or in a third country during the year or so that this process takes.

Do you have other red flags? What is the age difference? Are you of the same religion? How is the language between you? Do you speak Arabic? How good is his English? Are you recently divorced?

We are only three years apart. What are red flags? We both speak english. I dont speak arabic. But we are the same religion. I dont know if i can take another trip here before our interview. How long does it take to get an interview after submitting the documents?

Allow at least a year for the whole process.

Three years in age difference is not a red flag. Same religion, that's good. Red flags are things in your case that are unusual or not culturally normal. For example, in some countries large age gaps are normal, in other countries they are not.

Red flags are things which are generally considered negatives, or potential fraud indicators. That is not saying in YOUR case it is fraud, but it will make USCIS and the consular officer look more closely at your case. It is good you are of similar age and the same religion (especially if you did not convert for him), but only one visit, and getting married on the first visit, are both red flags. Since you have a year or so from filing to interview, definitely try to have one more visit, ideally two- one during the process, and the second for the interview. Your families having met, and approving of the marriage, can help too.

they will ask you (if you attend) in the interview how many times have you visited... my advice is to try to visit your husband at least one more time and get as much proof possible of your marriage.. trips together.. pictures etc

Your husband posted in September that you have known each other 8 months and that you are spending 3 months with him. Is that the case? Three months is a nice long visit and should give you the chance to really get to know his family and friends. Meeting his family is very useful for your case.
