I am US Citizen married to a Filipina working and living in Singapore. She will be having her interview on October 26. Last week we were asked by the consulate to provide a CENOMAR and the cenomar can only be sent by the Philippines Statistic Authority (PSA) to the US Embassy in Singapore. They will not take sent anyone else besides PSA. Has anyone encounter this out there. How long was the process for the consulate to recieved if you did encounter this.

Hi,

I am a filipina but currently working in UAE. I asked my mother to get a cenomar for me in NSO or they called now PSA. You dont have to go to consulate. Your fiance's relative can get it and send her right away.

Thanks.

If you are married, why would they want her to get a CENOMAR? Shouldn't it be a Marriage Certificate instead? Or proof of registration of your marriage to PSA? That's just a weird request from the embassy.

Yes this how it is for Singapore consulate. Just order online I am still about to order but as far as my research it would take 3-4 weeks normal mail for $25 and there is option to do Fedex delivery but it was much complicated. One of the person who did reply here send you the link to order online.

You would still need to request a CENOMAR since you are already married it would come out as Advisory on Marriages. I have and Advisory on Marriages taken by my sister from the Philippines but after as mentioned Singapore consulate wont accept handcarry Cenomar.

Ervie - Did you also requested from their site? Im wondering how do they indentify who the document is for. Because when you request the document, it doest not have any information of where to put a case number. The only option you have is a place to send it. We did get an Advisory of Marriage before we even got the letter.

If you are married, why would they want her to get a CENOMAR? Shouldn't it be a Marriage Certificate instead? Or proof of registration of your marriage to PSA? That's just a weird request from the embassy.

The Embassy (this Filipionos) requires a CENOMAR from someone who is single and what is commonly referred to as either a CEMAR (certificate of marriage) AOS will be made available. It's mandatory for Filipina's to have such a document for their interview.

The easiest way to have one sent is to go over to PSA's website and request it be sent to a foreign Embassy. Things are a little different for each country so it's advisable to visit the website for the Embassy that one will process through to ascertain what is required especially before your interview, preventing a problem like the OP is facing.

all Filipinos applying for a visa  are required to have their Cenomar married or single

CENOMAR is for single  CEMAR is for married but most of the time it is just refer to as CENOMAR
