I send money to my fiance in Vietnam each month -- is this a red flag for K1 interview?

I send money to my fiance each month and asked her to quit her job. The main reason is that I want her to spend as much time as possible with her friends and family in Vietnam before she moves to the U.S. Is this a red flag?

The number of talking about sending money here is getting kinda crazy.


You can send as much money as you want, but your fiance doesn't need to tell the CO's about the money you send.


Some things are better left unsaid unless they directly ask "Does your fiance send you money" then yeah she should be honest. But most of the time, people have a habit of just giving out this information without any provocation or because they think it helps their case.

We'll I submitted western union receipts my husband sent me as I think it will help my case. Its an evedience of our relationship.I've read where persons sent them in and it didn't do any harm

Sometimes it can be seen as the K1 beneficiary being solely motivated by a sugar momma or sugar daddy and so dependent

on money from the USC that "a step up to a better live with a green card" can be the agenda instead of a bona fide relationship.

July 21, 2017 HOME VISIT.  Went well. Topic thread in AOS forum.
Waiting to skip ROC and get 10 yr GC due to over 2 year while pending AOS
AOS APPROVED Oct. 4, 2017 * Green card in hand Oct 13, 2017 !!!!!

First K1 denied after 16 month of AP. Refiled. We are a couple since 2009. Not a sprint but a matter of endurance.

I did it my self when I was going through process with my now wife. I submitted Western Union receipts and it didn't impact our case as I don't think they noticed that documentation. Now in another forum, an OP had a perfect case (based on the details provided) and was sending finance money and their k-1 got denied. The reason "not a bonfire relationship" and the theory is that the send money statement derailed case.

IfI was going through process now, I wouldn't include it.

It is not about being sugar-mommy or sugar-daddy. It only helps your case because it proves that you are serious about the relationship and you want to support and take care of your fiancee.

It is not about being sugar-mommy or sugar-daddy. It only helps your case because it proves that you are serious about the relationship and you want to support and take care of your fiancee.

That is in the discretionary opinion of the CO, it doesn't matter what you think it should represent.

Sometimes nothing is said and other times it throws a curve ball into your case.
