6 months?

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

Yes,it's been 6 months now. As for an itenarary, that might be helpful. But she isnt the kind of "bubbly" woman who go in and just start randomly start talking and making up ideas. She is very matter-of-fact. She will simply say visit friends.

I have done a lot of reading since her last attempt and hopefully this will increase the odds.

Would be so great if she could come for 1 or 2 weeks and then return home. Then I could go see her next time, and so on, until ready for fiancé visa. We will put together a realistic itenarary to present on her visit.

Seems an awfully long way to go for a week vacation.

Boiler... you miss the point. It's not a week's vacation, it's a week with the one you love... the one you adore. I recently flew there to see her and was turned away at the airport. Through much discussion and bribery with security (their suggestion, not mine), i was able to see her for 1hr and had dinner together at the airport after 21hrs on the plane. I would gladly do it again, if I had to, just to be next to her. So, long flight? Maybe. But to be with her for an hour or a week...I'd crawl there.

It's not boiler seeing thing the wrong way, you need to see it through the eyes of the consular officer and how they would view things.

Imagine your scenario with your last trip the other way around. You say you'd gladly travel 21 hours just to spend 1 hour with your love. Very commendable and I assume she feels the same about you.

Now look at it from the perspective of someone whose sole job is to suspect everyone of being an illegal immigrant. If your love could be willing to travel halfway round the world just for a chance to be with you then what compels her to return home afterwards?

You have to be able to tip the balance between her reasons to stay in the US and her reasons to go home, and having a USC love interest is a big obstacle to cross.

Yes, that is understood. We both know she can't come here yet, but it is as you say... we aren't the ones who need convinced. That is the task at hand; to prove our true intent.

How do you prove intent?

You bribed CBP at their suggestion to see your girlfriend? How much? I would be shocked to know how much it takes for a CBP to ruin his/her career.

Probably not a lot, you need to travel a bit.

You misunderstood. He bribed Indonesian immigration. Not sure why the OP would be not allowed into the country (guess I missed that detail), but Indonesian government employees aren't exactly known for being clean. Customs generally charges $10/bottle for any alcohol you want to bring into the country above the 1 bottle allowance. No receipt given of course...

221 G is the usual clause that applies. You can look it up if you want but basically not sufficiently showing non immigrant intent.

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”
