Lost Receipt - Cannot get a replacement?

Hello Everyone!

My wife and I submitted her I751 months ago and was never sent a receipt to confirm that her green card/residency could be extended while it is in process. We did confirm the payment was taken.

As a result, her graduate school is having issues verifying her green card/residency (since it is expired) and needs that receipt as proof to clear her account. We have tried calling and emailing and cannot for the life of us figure out where we can get a copy.

When we called, the agent told us he would send us a copy via mail to our address, however, it was never sent nor received on our end. Upon follow up the second agent told us that they cannot give us a receipt and we were told that we need to contact Lockbox, however, lockbox states that they do not receipt this form.
Due to not having this receipt, we have no way of checking the status nor do we have any way or showing her graduate school that her green card/residency has been extended which has caused us problems in regards to class registration. As of now, she was able to enroll, but is on a temporary week by week status until we can prove the forms were sent as per a receipt.

Any info on where to call or physically go to get this sorted would be appreciated because we really need this to be cleared up for her graduate school.

Best Regards,

James

Make an infopass?...

They only allow appointments 14 days in advanced, we will try doing this but I was hoping for another more immediate option, perhaps the proper phone line or what others have done previously to resolve this.

If infopass and going to a USCIS field office is the only option, then we will definitely do that. Thanks for the feedback and advice, I did not think of infopass as a solution here.

This is especially bad, because by now you should have received a biometrics notice. If something is going wrong on the mailing side, you could have missed your biometrics appointment.

The other possibility is somebody making a mistake and never logging your case in the system or assigning a case number.

I think the quickest option is still Infopass. There is the USCIS Ombudsman, but they take longer to answer.

You can also try to contact your Senator or Congressman for help.

Hello,

I believe we did get mail in regards to biometrics and that was done, however, we never received anything after the fact.

We don't have any information in regards to a receipt before that though, unless it is in the same form and we missed it?

It's not the same form. Did you try to login to mycasestatus on USCIS.gov? There are two case numbers on the biometrics notice, only one of them would work there. Some people had found copies of notices there that they could download. No guarantees that your NOA1 is there, though.

At Infopass, take the LPR's passport so they can put an I-551 stamp in it. That'll work as proof of status.
