Email/Text notification for NOA2?

I just checked USCIS for any updates on my K1 petition, after seeing some VJ timelines with NOA1 dates around mine have started being approved/receiving NOA2s.

USCIS says that on Sept 7th our K1 was approved (YAY!), i'm assuming it takes a little while to receive email/text notification, but any idea on when that should be?

Also, for my VJ timeline, do I put in Sept 7th as the date for the NOA2? Or should I put in the date we receive an email/letter in the post?

I put the date it shows on the website for USCIS.

I never received a text/e-mail; which is odd because I received a text for the NOA1 but not the NOA2.

So I would just use the NOA2 date from USCIS site and then give it the time needed to got NVC.

Sep. 7th on your timeline is fine :) and CONGRATS!!!

You do not get e-mail/text for your NOA2 unless you signed up for it on their webpage or via the mobile app.

I did enable text and email notifications on the USCIS page, so not sure what happened there :( But either way, i'm just glad it's been approved! Thank you!

We also received a text/email for our NOA1 but nothing for NOA2 :( Which is annoying, it would have been nice to have, since I just happened to check the case status out of curiosity, and I'm sure there are others who are patiently waiting who may not be aware that theirs has been approved as well.

The Text your get for NOA1 is because of the form G-1145 you put in your package. It does NOT count for the NOA2 :)

The only text if you have the american number but if you did sign up you should get the e-mail. Did you check your spam folder?

I only got a text because I used the case tracker app on my cell phone and that one send me a text because of the update on the case. and then the e-mail because I had signed up for it on the webpage.

The USC will get the hard copy in not so long :)

Ooh, I see.

And I had it set to my fiance's number and email address, he checked his spam, nothing there D:

Oh well. I'm glad I checked the USCIS page.

Hopefully things will continue to go along in a speedy manner! Can't believe how fast we got our NOA2

Well you got approved so enjoy that and then wait for the hard copy!

It's nice to see that they are getting faster again.

It will go fast from now on so you might have to start getting your stuff ready for the interview and future move :)

Yes! Looking at the trends I was worried it was going to go a lot slower.

I'm in the U.S right now with my fiance and I'm meant to be here until early December, so I think I'm going to start organising my folder of documents for the interview.

But if it keeps going as fast as it is... I may not even be home in Australia for as long as I thought before coming back to get married... Which is both exciting and sad.

You will have your visa before December :)
