For the lack of a better terminology, allow me to speak in simple words:

if I have a green card and get married, it will take around 10 years for my spouse to receive the said green card themselves.

Your simple words are wrong. Completely wrong.

It takes 2 years for a green card holder to petition for a spouse and for that spouse to become a green card holder. Look at the Visa Bulletin.

You do not know the difference between waiting for the PD to become current and filing for AOS.

You're right, It used to be way longer. I guess their changes in 2013 really helped.

AOS has never taken 10 years. Nothing close to that.

You really need to educate yourself on the difference between waiting for a petition to become current and filing for an adjustment of status.

Oh. my. god.

WHATEVER

The entire process used to take that long. Only reason I know was because my relative did it few years back for their husband.

Visa availability, AoS filing - TERMINOLOGY. I'm talking about the length of the ENTIRE PROCESS.

I believe when people generally ask - how long does it take to blah blah, they mean the whole thing. From the moment they file to when they receive a green card.

Fighting between the two of you is really amusing but lets just answer the question he asked.

There is no shortcut OP. 2 years getting your spouse is really as good as it will get for a green card holder.

Do not go for option of Visa and try to adjust status. That will complicate the case and make is much harder on both of you. First of all most visas you cannot have the intent to immigrate and they will deny you if you do that.. H1b does have dual intent but h1b is mostly given to professionals (doctors, engineers etc.. ) who have an established career and then they decide "oh i want to get married and already in usa". Anyways if your fiance can get an H1b chances are she doesn't even need for you to apply for her and she can come here on her own.

I went to the lawyer and she had guide me well. i want to share with you all that it takes 2 years for for greencard holder Sponcering spouse which is F2a CATAGORY. 2nd option is f1 student visa which may be get declined. so F2A is best and final option.

What you were thinking before was illegal and now that you understand and have moved to apply for F2A category which is the proper way to do this is great.

Student Visa cannot have dual intent as well. Getting a student visa for the purpose of coming to the USA to marry and stay here will raise red flags and deny your case. So it is a good thing you have decided to do F2A and just do your application asap and everything should go smoothly for you.

I BELIEVED YOU TRUST YOU. BUT I GOT A CHANCE FOR FREE WITH LAWYER AND ASKED DIFFERENT OPTIONS.

There were no different options, and that is what i think JFH was referring to. The only option you had was F2A.

Anyways Good luck in your petition.
