Check cashed at VSC today, 3 business days after packet delivery.

It seems USCIS destroys the check and runs the transaction as an ACH (automated clearing house) transfer. This means the transfer was initiated yesterday, Monday 9/19. If only VSC was as efficient at processing packets as they are at cashing checks...

I'm the USC petitioner. My wife is British (now a USC!!!), generally awesome, and amazingly patient.

I checked my delivery tracking number, I noticed that the zip code where it says was delivered was different. Now I am freaking out. My GC expires on Sep 30. :( we had some emergencies and we lost all of our savings so I couldn't send it before.

Has anyone with a tracking number checked their packages? I am wondering if maybe it shows that zip code for all packages, the zip code was 92677.

Mine was delivered on Friday, so by what people has said here, they should cash my check today. I am hoping they do, it will give me some peace of mind :)

Good luck to everyone

I would check the "No" box. The statement in the question is only true if your spouse is working for the US government AND also serving outside the U.S at the same time.

Let's see what others have to say.

My spouse is currently employed by the U.S. Government and he is working in the United States. I will still check "yes" box for this question, correct?

No. Because regardless if your spouse works for the goverment, the key part of the question is "serving outside the US".

Is your husband working outside the US? Then the answer is no.

I think you are right on the check portion. If they cash the check then your application has been filed correctly. However, this could mean you signed in the right places and the check was for the correct amount. It does not mean you will not get an RFE
