Guys please help me out. My case is F4, my brother is petitioner. My brother submitted all his financial supporting documents, my Civil Documents & Fee to NVC in first week of MAY-2016 and after 2 months last week of JUNE-2016 we received a letter from NVC on email that your documents has been received and now you will get interview letter within 60 days (most probably). But now 65 days have passed and I am still waiting for interview letter. Can anyone guide me on his/her experience basis when can I get my interview letter. Do I still need to follow Visa Bulletin timelines? Some details are mentioned below. Case = F4 Priority date = March 2004 Embassy Islamabad -Pakistan

hi

until your priority date becomes current on the visa bulletin,

immigration can request the paperwork a year or two before your priority date is current. check the visa bulletin every month

When they say 60 days that is just an estimate, its not necessarily going to be exactly on the 60 day mark. Wait another week or so or you can call NVC and ask. Interviews are scheduled at the end of the month tho so you may have missed this months scheduling if there were a lot of people ahead of you. You may get into next month's scheduling so, if not this month then the last week in September is when they will start to give out dates again. Hopefully you get a date then?

Thanks Asia for your reply. How long it take?

IF it moves a month's time every month (and it may or may not, there is no way to know), about 5-6 months.

Im puzzled because just look VJ members timeline 90% of interviews scheduled within two to three months after receiving case completion letter from NVC. It does not meet the timeline of Visa Bulletin Priority Date. Whats your opinion guys ???

Even if you would get an interview date, your visa cannot be issued before the Priority Date becomes current.

Are those family preference category cases or IR (immediate relative of a USC) cases? In IR cases, visas are immediately available, there is no waiting for Priority Dates to become current.
