Hi Goblin,

Anytime I call them they tell that i am waiting for a visa appointment date, but how do I get confirmation that I am on the waiting list. Please let me know. Is your visa consulate Mumbai as well for EB1? How long have you been waiting? Is your case complete. My application is a follow to join. Please let me know.

That is your confirmation that you are on the waiting list. If visa is current then nothing more you can do then wait. Booking cycle for November will start next week and then go on for 2-3 weeks. You can call them or use the email contact form on their site, they answer usually after 5 days. Again Mumbai is a very busy place, so it might take a while and longer then other countries. My case is complete and I am waiting as well for a date, but I am not from India.

Hi,

I did not see anyone reply to your query so I'll try to help. :)

Your change of address can be updated through NVC. So here's what I recommend:

1. Move where you need to.

2. Send an email to NVC at nvcinquiry@state.gov with the subject: CHANGE OF ADDRESS. Provide the NVC case #, the petitioner and applicant's names and dates of birth as well as the new address.

3. Call them the following day to confirm that they have received your email with this change. Please note they are open Mon through Fri from 7am to midnight (EST) except for celebrated holidays.

Best of luck to your spouse at the interview also! :D

Thank you for your reply. I think it was better for us just to stay at the existing address for one more month and than move when she is actually here. This process is already complicated and I don't want to make it worse. I really appreciate your reply.

Do not bother with NVC. ts very important at interview to change your address. NVC has nothing to do with it. This address is where your SS card and green card will go. Also at POE verify that the changed address is in the database correctly. My husband had t

o do this at interview and POE. Also be sure to go to USCIS.gov and update your change of address so its all matching.

Again forget NVC they do not matter. Your case isn't even with them.

Thank you very much. I will be staying at the same address for one more month. I will change address once she is here in November so I don't make things complicated.

I think you should provide the new address for greencard to be delivered. If you change your address and you don't get your greencard it will be more complicated after and some other fees.

I always find the best cure is a good bottle of wine and indulge in something that I shouldn't be eating (something delicious and unhealthy).

Well then take a dry and rational intent of me...

WHAT do you have to worry about???

We assume all is in right order such as "bona fide" marriage and you can proof it, Affidavit is clear, you have no criminal record, you have passed all bureaucracy stages and medical so far and you can find TONS of positive interview reports on the forum! With a clean record fiance and spouse visas are a fairly smooth ride compared to some of the employment based ones.

So I would say chill out!
