Hi all,

Not sure if you have the same experience but it's a bit weird to me that we still haven't received our NOA1 since 5 Aug, 2016. I read most of the cases about the K1 application, it takes only a few days to get the NOA1 but we still have nth from the government.

We originally sent it on 13th July 2016 via USPS but it is returned on 4th Aug 2016 because we have missed out a signature. We have resent it on 5 Aug, 2016 via USPS and now is almost a month, we still haven't got any news from the government.

Anybody has got this experience before? I am so worried about it...what caused the procedure take so long for us?

Faye

I think they sent it thru first class, which is the normal one with no tracking number. So i dunno where it goes now?. plus it wouldn't take that long to get a NOA 1... Have no idea whats wrong with it

If you used a check to pay the filing fee you can check with your bank to see if it was cashed. That would confirm they've received your application.

Did you send in the G-1145 form to get texts and emails? I got email and text notification of my NOA1 ( August 4) within a week from sending my I-129F but I still haven't received the letter in the mail. If it weren't for the text I would not know my NOA1 date either

Try checking with the bank and hang in there!

So much sensitive material and documents on that packet. It should always be sent with tracking. Important to do so for any future mailings.

There have been many posts on this topic in the past. You can use the search tool to find them and see what others did.

I used an attorney also just to help and double triple check to avoid delays. He sent in the packet, FedEx I believe, with the check I gave him for the $340 filing fee.

And like some others above I received a text about 6 days after it was sent from USCIS saying they received it, and a week later got the hard copy receipt showing they had gotten it and cashed the filing fee.

We just got our NOA2 this past friday. Which from NOA1 to NOA2 was only 48 days.

You definately need to call them and check to see if they received it, or what the issue is. If they don't have it you need to try to check with your fiance and see if they can get hold of USPS and figure it out cause yea like someone said about, there's so much sensitive information in that packet that you wouldnt want it just floating around somewhere for anyone to get a hold of.

Thanks for all the answers. I think i better check with the attorney for my confusion. I have notice 3 things,

1) My attorney may forgot to ask my husband to sign for the G1145 form

2) My husband paid the filing fee to the attorney, so i have to ask her if the money has been cashed.

Thanks for all the advises.

You might be in the wrong forum. This is for 129F filers for a K-1 visa. You said "my husband" and indicate the Vermont service Cetner. Are you aready married and filing a 130 for CR-1 Visa?
