you can't get the papers back. You need to call NVC and tell them you joint sponsor changed his mind, find a new joint sponsor and submit a new affidavit of support

thanks a lot.

if i send a new one,how many times are need for case complete???is it normal review or supervisor review???i'm very tensed about it.

As mentioned, you cannot get the papers back. If your case is still under review at NVC, you can send a new set with a cover letter explaining why and mentioning your case number, and hopefully they will meet up with your other paperwork. Be sure to bring a copy of the new I-864 and related documents to interview in case they do not process it at NVC.

What's made him change his mind? I can understand people not wanting to be a joint sponsor (I don't think I'd do it unless for someone related to me by blood or marriage) because it's a huge commitment for many years. But the paperwork us quite clear about the seriousness of it all. Has he heard horror stories of sponsors being sued by the government for immigrants using public funds?
