Like I said, the officer told me I would hear from them by mid Sept and it will be either an approval or an interview, 50/50 percent chance.

Do you think it will be a combined N 400 & I 751 interview?

I just filed my 400 three weeks ago, no, this is for the 751, it is impossible that they would just combine the 2 so early, the processing time for 400 in my city (Los Angeles) is about 10 to 11 months.

Yes, active deployment of a spouse allows you to attend the interview alone. You may want to contact USCIS for confirmation (just in case the policies have changed, thought I doubt it), but their website says so here:

https://www.uscis.gov/archive/archive-news/questions-and-answers-members-military

Thank you for the link. I called USCIS and they confirmed it. What a perfect timing they chose for the interview after over a year of waiting.

485?? Adjustment of status? Of course. Every married couple who files 485 needs to do an interview. I guess it is rare if some don't.

I just spoke to a tier 2 officer. She said my case has been assigned, I have about 32 days of waiting according to what she's seeing. But I can have a feedback before that. I should call back in the middle of the month to check.

July 22nd, CSC

I hope it will be a straight approval, my husband is not about that interview life lool. He's scared he's going to mess up. I won't like it either but I'm ready. Lol

Definitely, it seems like CSC is finally moving, you are the third person who was told you will hear from them soon. Good news for July and August filers. As far as the interview goes, just go in and be natural about it, I think that will be the key.

From what I understand, it's not that unusual for K-1s to be issued a green card without an AOS interview. (At least that was the case when I was following AOS threads back in 2014.) Speculation at the time, as I recall, was that since the beneficiary had already interviewed at an embassy, and that ROC would eventually come along with more proof of marriage two years down the road, some cases were granted AOS interview waivers.

I went to a field office for infopass appointment today... The officer gave me a I-551 stamp on my passport and gave my GC back to me... without any question.

And also told me that my application is being processed by someone. Anyways, it's a good news to me as it means that there is some progress in CSC

BTW I'm a July filer (Filed on 7/12 to CSC and received NOA on 7/19, Biometrics appointment around ~8/4).
