AOS July 2016 Filers

You have to pay $420 for the i130 and $1070 for the aos, being $985 for the I485 form and $85 for biometrics fee. If you want, you can file for a work and travel authorization (i765 and i131, respectively) and doing it with the packet you're sending or after, their fees are waived, you don't have to pay any extra.

Follow the guide I linked and you'll be fine, but Be careful with the checks amounts or the package can be rejected again.

Thanks, yeah, I have paid for AP and Emplyoment authorization too. i guess I confused i-130 and i-131 and i thought I had everything. I'll send everything back on monday then ??

Got my notices in the mail on Friday but I was out of town so just got them today as back home now The waiting begins again! Fingers crossed everyone gets their NOA1s quickly.

I don't think so. I think most likely they set the update in the system and the system sends people confirmation at a later date and time

I am a newbie and just sent my AOS/I-130/EP/AP last Thursday 7/14/2016 and tracked USPS and it was delivered today. Hoping for smooth journey. Let the waiting game begin!

We received our text/email notifications last week (July 13/14) for both AOS and the work visa and just received the AOS paper notification in the mail today. Things are moving along!

Sent our 130/485/765/131 today and they will be there by noon tomorrow.

We are vacationing in FL, got married this morning and sent the whole package 1 hour later.

USPS delivered my AOS/EAD/AP last July 2 at the Chicago USCIS office. Since then haven't heard anything from them. This waiting game is painful. It's a black hole.

How long did it take for USCIS to receive your package? I sent mine last Monday (11 July 2016) via USPS from North Carolina. I tracked it today it says "Your item arrived at our CHICAGO, IL 60607 destination facility on July 13, 2016 at 8:51 am. The item is currently in transit to the destination." I was just wandering on average how long it is taking for packages to get there.

I've just sent my AOS, AP and EAD paperwork off to USCIS today and it should be there by Thursday let the wait begin!

Technically it's a work authorization. A work visa would be applied if you wanted to enter the USA to work. The ead authorizes you to work while waiting the green card

If you look at my signature you'll see mine took almost 2 months to work, and even so only the i485 is working. Don't worry. If it passes 45 days after filing and still doesn't work, you can call uscis to inquiry

Keep in mind there is a temporary work authorization card you can get if the 90 day period passes and u don't have your card... It's good for 250 days I think it is??

I sent mine 2 day priority through USPS hopefully it'll get there soon and you will get your notifications, the wait varies for everyone.
