Ok update, my fiancé had a profile on travel docs already from when he applied for a visitor visa. The system wouldn't allow him to make a new profile, so he used the one he had already. He chose "new appointment" K1 and entered his SYD case number and paid the fee. The form never asked for the DS160 confirmation number. But after the fee was paid, it provided him with a receipt that had the DS160 confirmation number from his visitor visa that was denied 6 months ago! It's a different number from the one we just completed this week. Ugh, idk if anyone else had issues with this website. I really hope this doesn't somehow delay our process, not sure what to do now

Hi, We had the same issue in that my fiance already had a profile. When you go into travel docs you have to click "new application" at the very top of the list on the left side so enter in the new DS-160 number. I think you might be able to cancel that one out and redo it under a new application.

7/1 - mailed I-129

7/7 - NOA 1

8/29 - RFE

9/13 - Notice received RFE reply

9/19 - NOA 2

10/12 - Called NVC & Received Case Number, Case Ready at Embassy

10/17 - Received NVC Case Number Letter in mail

12/2 - Interview (Denial, 221g issued asking more relationship proof)

12/8 - Additional Proof Submitted

12/9 - 221g issued again asking for more relationship proof (same items they asked for previously)

12/16 - passport returned to fiance in mail with 2nd 221g letter

12/23 - Additional Proof Submitted

12/27, 12/28, 12/29 Date updated on case

1/5 Passport Status changed to "passport being processed for delivery" CEAC status still says "administrative processing"

1/9 Passport delivered to hometown with VISA ISSUED!! CEAC status still says "administrative processing"

1/26 POE Seattle

2/25 Married (CEAC status still says visa is in "administrative processing" - haha)

I clicked on new application and most of the info was entered already from before, the only thing we added was the case number from NVC and the priority date. There was no section asking for a DS160 confirmation number at any point :( I went ahead and sent a message using the "provide feedback" tab but not really sure what else can be done at this point. Thanks anyway!

Oh.. you should be fine then.. Perhaps i completely blanked and forgot you don't need to enter the DS-160 number... it was the NVC number.. so sorry,. you are ok as long as you clicked "new application"... don't worry at all.. you just needed to enter the new NVC number.. You did it correctly. :)

I would just try to contact them if the confirmation number is EXACTLY the same one you received before.. mine was different. We got the confirmation letter with the interview appointment details and the number on it is different than any previous numbers we had received (we tried for many travel visas - all denied).

Oh ok! Well that makes me feel a little better. I'll definitely give them a call to double check though. Thanks a lot!

If you're talking about your account on https://cgifederal.secure.force.com you can go to 'Update Profile' on the left sidebar and you should be able to change the DS160 number there up to 2 days before the interview date.

Then you can re-print the interview confirmation letter.

Yes that's the website. I checked the "update profile" tab but it doesn't show any DS 160 number.. only the case number we received from NVC. I had updated that already but the payment receipt bar code has the DS160 confirmation number from the visitor visa that was denied....

That's odd, my fiance also had an old DS160 listed there and I had to change it when creating a new appointment! Hope you get this issue resolved!

Thanks for the advice cramak and sabazou! I called the US consulate in Sydney and they were able to just update it to the correct confirmation number for me over the phone. Quick fix, what a relief.

Good luck to those with interviews coming up! Hopefully that will be all of us soon.

I was allowed in the interview! My name was on the list even though we never received an email confirmation. I left my large suitcase at Excessive Baggage in Charing Cross station. I was allowed to take my backpack into the embassy. Everyone was super nice! (Ceisenbruch, I tried to look for Alex but there were so many guys who looked tall but no one really stood out to me.) Robert was approved... Sort of. They have to call ACRO to confirm the info about the No Live Trace on his UK police certificate ( something that happened when he was 15, that never went to court and was filed as a reprimand). I asked the lady when we could expect the visa even with them having to make that call. She said that we could expect it in 1 to 2 weeks. Oh, and I was asked questions as well haha!! So yes aside from the fingerprint scanner malfunctioning which made us have to stand there for about half an hour at the first window, it all went very smoothly!! Yay!!
