How much have you read the Florida's driver handbook? Many of the driving terms can be complex, especially when you haven't driven even once in the States. I know, I was in this situation once. Whenever I had doubts, I cleared them with my husband who has been driving in American roads for years. If you don't understand the manual, you should ask your spouse or buddy up with a friend who is willing to help you with the language and driving jargon. If you have no one to help you, enroll in a driving school. They are usually a bit expensive but well worth the price in the long run. Driving school teachers are experienced in teaching students of all kinds.

Once you get the permit, make sure you learn to drive behind the wheel WITH someone who has been driving here for years, if you don't enroll in driving school. You may think you can drive here just fine because you drove in Pakistan but the driving here is very different. You just have to follow the rules of driving in the United States.

I can understand how frustrating it is. Let someone from your country whose good in English sit with you, then read together and help translate it in your language for you. So that way you can understand better. Good luck and don't give up.

How can you drive when you don't have a permit issued yet? I gave you couple of suggestions in my previous post.

Try to search if any DMV office in Florida offers translators. Translators basically sits with you and translates questions and options of a test. I know many states offer translators service, but not sure about Florida.

You can read this topic, hope it will help you.

You might want to check with the DMV office in Florida to see if they have different languages.

Over here in Georgia, they do have different languages for the tests in Arabic, Chinese, French, Hindi, Japanese, Korean, Russian, Spanish, Turkish and Vietnamese. I was asked which language I would like to take during my test.

Here's how I pass my test. I took all the tests repeatedly till i get 100% right and move on to the next test. Keep repeating it till you got it right.

Here's the link: http://driving-tests.org/florida/

I hope this will help you practice.
