Hi there, I have a question that I hope you can help me with.

So My friends husband lives in another country. (Armenia). They are currently in the process of applying for a CR-1 but pending because they are looking for a sponsor. They are aware that the process might take a while but of course, the way love works, you eventually miss your spouse. My friend is currently a US citizen and lives here (U.S) but his husband lives in Armenia at the moment. They were debating if there was even a point to apply for a visitors visa for him to visit for at least 2 weeks. They are skeptical because they think they would have to have tons of money to make this happen or that if they do apply, the CR-1 would be denied completely.

Is there anyway around this?

Well then having a I-13 petition in the system shows he wants to immigrate and having a US spouse means his ties are no longer to his country. He would have to show very strong ties to his country. Having lots of money has nothing to do with it. And applying for a visitor visa doesn't effect the petition in anyway (unless they lied).

Doesn't hurt to apply just cost $160.

they can apply, but likely it's a waste of money. He has strong immigration intent.

Would it impact the spouse visa negatively if the person applies for a visitors visa but is denied? Would it seem like the person is only intending to get an entry to the U.S., whether it be by visitors visa or spousal visa, rather than moving to the U.S. to be with their spouse?

No a denied visitor visa it doesnt impact the spousal visa at all as long as there were no lies or omissions on it.
