Hi,

My partner recently received the NOA 1, what was your waiting time before receiving NOA 2?

Kelly here by the way.

Thanks

Hey, figured I'd jump in since our NOA 2 was recent. It took our case 32 days between NOA1 and NOA 2! It was approved the end of November :)

I think USCIS is taking a bit longer with the holiday/new year coming up, because I know there are October filers still waiting on NOA 2, just to give you a range. Lately it seems cases could take anywhere from a couple weeks to nearly a few months. Hopefully approval will happen before you know it!

We are a same sex couple too. Your timeline says you are Jamaican? My husband is also from an equally gay unfriendly country, albeit not so violent towards us. The process is the same as heterosexual couples. However, depending on the country and security for the same sex couple, they interview us in a private enclosed room, not in the general interview area where we can be overheard.
