Must be a weight off your mind Soley. When I called around day 67 they were very nice and it made me relax just for the reassurance.

So much for two day delivery Simon!! The postal system over here never makes any sense to me. Next day delivery can mean anything from next day to a week and nobody but the customer sees a problem with this.

Today I received a very nice quality piece of A-4 paper that has confused the heck out of me. It says NOA at the top then the text says it's 'the card' but then a few lines down it contradicts itself and tells me it's not evidence of employment authorisation. I was honestly expecting a little credit card sized thing that I can pop in my purse and be off.

EDIT: I also didn't receive any further email notifications of updates nor has the USCIS tracker changed from telling me they mailed the card.

I assume that this is your approval notice letting you know that the case has been approved but that your card will follow "shortly". The approval notice itself isn't any use for employment or getting back into the country but the card

Itself will follow :) the card, when it arrives, should fit within your purse! There are visual examples of the EAD combo card around on the forums and elsewhere on the wider web that can be found with a good search term.

Tra-la-la... no delivery notification for the EAD yet (I'm on the other side of the country right now) but hopefully today or tomorrow.

I'm also waiting for a call back from a Tier 2 agent as to whether there has been an movement on my background check that I mentioned two weeks ago. I presume not and I'll update if I'm incorrect.

As for two day delivery, I think the marketing for the USPS product suggests that the two day delivery is a best attempt and not a guarantee (you have to pay more for guaranteed two day deliver). I did some searching and found USPS wording to that effect which basically absolves them of responsibility.

Mine ended up being 3 day, instead of 2. Also, they said they mailed at Friday the 19th but it was mailed in the 22nd.

I've been waiting 63 days since my biometrics appointment (and Day 86 since filing!)..... nothing yet haha. For the I-485, I'm still on "Fingerprint Fee Received". Others are much luckier and progressing though on AOS :) Others have been waiting for much longer though so I mustn't grumble!

so my husband received his combo card for EAD and AP. He had a california Drivers license for the initial 90 day visa. They took that privilege away while we waited for the EAD approval. My question is do we need to change his SSN with EAD then renew the license to complete the license process, or we can go to the DMV before SS office.

Thanks for the clarification. I also googled the card and I'm hoping it doesn't have the prison mug shot photos we sent in that Walgreens forced us in to. Maybe the smiley ones at biometrics if I'm lucky.

*fingers crossed* yours is delivered in the next day or so. I'm really not a fan of the mailing system here. I paid for overnight delivery for some shoes and they arrived a week later and I was pretty much told to make do. Plus the company wanted me to return the shoes at my own expense if they didn't fit. Sometimes I miss the Royal Mail lol Oh but I found maltesers in the mail box today :D

Once you have a SSN it's yours for life. All you should amend is name change with them if need be.

Today I called uscis again and the guy on the phone could not check my status online so he transferred me to a tier 2 agent and the only thing this lady could tell me is that they received my biometrics and that I have to wait until the end of September ? It's the biometrics picture! (Mine was horrible, I had the worst sunburn. But it's tiny, blurry and in black and white, so it's all ok)

Good haha Black and white is even better. I look like a prisoner on photos like that and the Walgreens woman really peeved me off too. Didn't help.
