We are doing DCF that is why.

Aaaaand as they keep reminding us it is not over until you go through immigration and then adjustment of status... so... still many more hurdles to jump until our happily ever after :)

No adjustment of status fr any of us here. That's for people who live in US. If you are married under 2 years when you POE you will do a Removal of conditions on your 2 year green card 21 to 24 months from when you POE. If married over 2 years at POE there's nothing to do unless you want to become a citizen in 3 years.

June 8th was a really bad day. My husband (USC) was taken to the ER because of a severe medical issue. The doctor wrote a letter stating that it would be crusial for me to come over as soon as possible due to his medical state. I talked to a US Senator that´s been helping us lately and she contacted the US embassy in Sweden and NVC regarding this trying to get an expedite interview. I don´t know my chances in getting it approved but I´m hoping for the best. My case got completed on May 23rd and since then I´ve been on waitlist for an interview. All the requierd documents for the interview is collected and I´ve done my medical. The US Senator will contact me as soon as she hear something but I´m worried that it will be denied even though the letter from the doctor says it´s of vital importance. Does anyone here has any idea on how hard it will be to have it approved?

I pray your husband has total recovery and healing. All the best on your expedite request.

Hi all,

Just wanna say welcome to all those who got their Cases complete at NVC stage and have finally joined us (welcome to da madhouse! :goofy:) and and big CONGRATS to all those who have gotten approved in their interviews....awesome job guys and gals! To those of us who are in AP or those who are still awaiting their interview dates....hang in there, our turn is coming :thumbs:

Just an update: My husband's uncle became our new sponsor and he mailed out the i864s that were needed along with the 1040 and W2s, etc. I got the package from FedEx today and I have scheduled a pickup with DHL for Monday.....the embassy will therefore get my additional evidence on Tuesday.....so, again, fingers and toes crossed for this time to be approved!!

FYI - A member who is in AP contacted the DoS in Washington regarding their interview outcome and the CO's decision for them to obtain a joint sponsor. The spouse was over the poverty guidelines of 125% but the CO still insisted on a joint sponsor and placed them in AP. The rep at DoS only said that although the USCIS and the NVC officials grant the paperwork acceptance to pass thru the immigrant visa process, the CO at the embassy has the authority to say what the outcome can be and they (DoS) have no control over the CO's decision for him requesting a joint sponsor. :wow:

When I checked last night which I didnt want to after submitting my research paper to my university i started crying. People are saying diffrernt things to hurt me and put me down because Im away from my husband, then I honestly thought what you said about the gorilla on my back. I felt soo light so very much :luv: Thanks alot for helping me through.
