Camgol, Are you an IOE filer? If so, I am also an IOE Filer from Jamaica, Queens with a priority date of 6/8/16. I got my biometrics done on 6/30/16. But after that, my status is stuck at "Biometrics Appointment was Scheduled". Did you received an "In-line for Interview" notification after the biometrics?

I'm an IOE filer as well, and I didn't receive any intermediate notification between biometrics and the interview. My status went straight to "Interview scheduled" in mid-October.

Hi all - we had our interview today (Lawrence, MA instead of Boston) and they said my husband passed! Now waiting for the status change and oath notification!

Hi KTEAM, just saw this message. Congrats! I have my appointment at the Lawrence office on the 27th. Any idea where the oath ceremony will be held? I heard interviews that take place in Lawrence do not have the oath ceremonies in Boston, but not sure if that is true or not.

Thanks! I think that Lawrence oaths happen in Lowell (Lowell Auditorium) and Worcester (Mechanics Hall) primarily. We still haven't been scheduled yet but will let know! I think it is true that Boston and Lawrence ceremonies are separate. Good luck on the 27th!

Had my interview today at Cincinnati field office. Was done in 20 minutes flat. The officer was very nice. She confirmed name, address, SSN, phone number etc. Asked the yes/no questions from the applications. Asked following questions

1. Where in the statue of liberty? NY harbor

2. Who was the first president of the USA? George Washington

3. What promise you make when you become a US citizen? To be loyal to the US, follow laws, give up allegiance to any other country/state

4. Who is the governor of the state? John Kasich (Ohio)

5. Name two US national holidays? (Veterans day, labor day, memorial day, thanksgiving day)

6. What movement did Martin Luther King Jr lead? Led the civil right movement

Just in case, I am a June IOE filer.

She then asked me to read "Who lives in the white house?" Then asked me to write "The president lives in the white house"

She asked me to sign the oath of allegiance etc on an iPad. Made me do some 1-2 additional signatures. She said I can take oath next week. But I told her that I am traveling abroad tomorrow for two weeks. Then she said she will schedule an oath in January. Very happy to hear that. I was expecting that USCIS will not approve anyone until the government notifies. Soon after the interview I checked the status online and it changed to Oath ceremony scheduled and that letter has been mailed.

I am June filer as well. I filed at the beginning of June and biometric was done in third weeks of june. Since then i haven't heard anything from USCIS (meaning no online update). I spoke to second level officer and according to him, my application was placed in line for interview at the end of august. Also the officer said they will send me letter with detail reasons as to why, so i got letter from USCIS saying that "due to workload not related to your case, USCIS anticipates a delay in completing your case." It has been over 3 months since application was put inline for interview yet haven't heard anything from USCIS. So i made infopass with local office, didn't get much help from there either. It was pretty much the same answer that second level officer gave over the phone.

As per online update, my field office was processing March 31st application as of Sept 30th which was updated in Nov.

Now my question is, should i approach to Senator to find whether the delay is due to new ELIS or something else has delayed my application (other than what has already told to me via letter and over the phone)? Or should i patiently wait until the file is pulled into interview schedule from inline for interview? note my application starts with IOE number so i am in the same boat as most of the others.

Your suggestions will be highly appreciated.

Hello everyone.

Congratulations to those who've had their interviews!

I have a question on the mysterious ELIS updates.. how do you receive texts? I am unable to access my ELIS account (it is locked and the server thinks my email address is invalid for some strange reason).

The uscis dhs account page on the other hand is still stuck on "Biometric appointment scheduled in June." Add to that, this page pretty regularly shuts down for "important maintenance." Am I missing something? It'd be funny to not show up to my interview for real just cos I didn't know where to look.

I have my interview on the 27th, and it says I need to bring my marriage certificate and my spouse's birth certificate. Do these need to be originals, or can I just make a photocopy to bring? I believe I submitted copies with my package (I cannot remember, honestly), so would I need to get the originals? Where would I get an original birth certificate?

Hi all;

We have filed my case on Jun/04, and my interview is now scheduled for Jan/10 in the San Antonio office. The problem is that we have booked a travel to Florida for Jan/07 to Jan/11, and we've already paid for the flight, hotel, and rental car, all of which are non-refundable!

What do you suggest? Should we reschedule the interview? or is it too risky to do so?

I'm a Houston filer (June 1st) and still waiting for my interview to be scheduled. It's been more than 6 months now no luck. I called USCIS and talked to L2 officer,she told me Houston is very busy office but the thing is I saw other Houston July filer(IOE) getting their interview appointment and I applied a month before but they didn't schedule me for interview ??? well,L2 officer put a service request for me last week and it will take min.2 weeks to arrive in mail.

It's so frustrating for me (IOE form type)

I have my interview on the 27th, and it says I need to bring my marriage certificate and my spouse's birth certificate. Do these need to be originals, or can I just make a photocopy to bring? I believe I submitted copies with my package (I cannot remember, honestly), so would I need to get the originals? Where would I get an original birth certificate?
