You can bring a baby/infant to the interview building and lobby, but not the interview room where the IO questions you, so if you have to bring a child, make sure you bring someone who can watch them in waiting area while you are being interviewed.  At the Los Angeles office they had a whole section of the room devoted to child care/toys etc.

I was able to bring both my wife and our baby into the interview room. They sat next to me and watched while I got interviewed. I guess it depends on local office. I think they will totally understand if you dont have anyone to hold your baby while you get interviewed. Give it a try.

Congratulations to everyone who got their citizenship👌 I need suggestions! I had my interview on March 25 and today April 30 but I still didn't hear from USICS. My case status shows under review. After interview officer gave me paper stating that I past reading and writing test but decision can not be made now. I had an arrest in 2009 for disorderly conduct but case dismissed also criminal tickets because I work as a vendor so police gives tickets to criminal court but it's violation. All tickets are paid and I brought all the dispositions and officer told me it shouldn't be problem she just has to look at them and decision will be mailed. So I'm worried 😩. What do you guys think and what should I do? How long I have to wait? Thanks a lot an advance.

I did a search on this subject here going back many years and the consensus was not to bring a child to the interview.  Waiting in the interview lobby is fine, but I guess it's a case by case basis depending on the office, perhaps they could call first and ask.  Most of the posts said the interview was "serious business" and not professional to be dealing with a child while answering test questions.

My interview date is June 5th 2017... Kindly update my timeline. I also want to ask for those of us that have already interviewed. What documents do you carry along? I know that the interview letter states some required documents. But I'm just being curious about it. Are the officers book on several documentation or just what they required that we bring along?.... Thanks.

Thank you everyone for your reply/advice to my question about my child. Good thing that I didn't take him with me 

 

Anyway everything was just good and the interview took half an hour and she told me we will mail you the letter of the ceremony date and place. 

There were both doors and booths that I was expecting to be called by one of those booths but then one of those doors opened and the officer which was really nice called me. I'm wondering what were those booths for???

Finally,  after 353 days of waiting with ZERO news, Julio's interview is scheduled. !!!!!!

Letter with date yet to arrive in the mail.  What on earth is the reason St. Paul, MN is so much slower than the rest of the U.S.A.? I really want to know.

 I'm sorry, after all this time, I don't remember how to update the June Filers database.  For "Isabel&Julio", could someone add 05/25/2017 as the date of "in line for interview ". I don't know that we ever had the listed status of "in line " though, Since the USCIS case status just went from "Biometrics..." to "An interview date has been scheduled ". We'll update again when we actually get that date in the mail.

interview was yesterday - application approved and will be scheduled for the naturalization ceremony, which is expected to take place on 6/21 here in Houston.
