I only submitted my application, naturalization certificate, marriage certificate (2years old), passport copy, check and the biographical forms and we were good and application was approved. I didn't submit any pictures or any other prove.

That person must have been a newbie or it could be because you were married for over 2 yrs. I am sure at the interview they will want to see more docs showing the marriage is bonafide. Especially because Ghana embassy is difficult to get approvals.

The check or money order must be drawn on a bank or other financial institution located in the United States and must be payable in U.S. currency.

I don't think a check drawn on HSBC in Hong Kong will work...

IMO OP needs to do a lot of reading instead of trying to fill in the blanks by asking questions here. If it's too much to try to sort I'd recommend hiring a lawyer... it doesn't sound like OP is thorough enough to submit the package on his own, which is fine, we're all different sorts of people.

Ive just realize that i did not submit many documents needed including the check.

All i have submitted are the i130 form and my passport copy to the chicago lockbox.

Should i start over and submit everything again or just wait until i get a response from them?

I strongly suggest you read the guide to file a I-130 you missed alot. Sorry you wasted a month.

Are you both on the lease for the apartment? Have a joint bank account or credit card? Have you received mail at the apartment addressed to both of you? That's the sort of thing they are looking for. Basically you have to convince someone who has never met you and knows nothing about you that you are truly in love and your marriage is real and not just so that she can get a green card.

Oh yes. I thought pictures and other proof were for interview time not application time. Of course we do have 6 years worth of prove so we're more than prepared.

Start from scratch, they'll be able to do nothing with what you've provided. To put it in perspective, my i-130 was 2 x clearfile folders filled with info ... some file less than this, but you haven't met even the minimum requirements as listed on the i-130 form. I suggest you have a thorough read of the forms and make sure you're actually providing everything first. There's even a help guide on the website for how to fill an i-130 which lists suggested documents.

For evidence, they want evidence of the relationship, not "just" the marriage, so your relationship evidence that you add to the marriage certificate can be from the start of when you met, visited each other, went on outings together, and so on.

The check doesn't need to be in your name BUT it does need to be in the same envelope as your application. I filed from Australia and we sent our documents to my in-laws. They added a check and then posted it to the lockbox for us.

Also your passport question, it doesn't matter where her passport is from at this stage. Maybe at interview stage? But certainly not yet. I'm from NZ but posted it from Australia. They don't care ... filing from abroad is filing from abroad, no discrimination there.

Your application is probably rejected. Send the I-130 with the USD Money Order together with all documents you have again.

Passport Copy both of you (ALL PAGES)

Photograph both of you

wedding photo

tenancy agreement

any joint account statement

any trip records that you two went

photo with family and friends

The more evidences you can show, the better.
