Got an email back from the embassy, they have received our case!!!

They addressed the email "Dear Sirs" :jest::bonk:

The email also said that DS230 has not been returned, so there was no status and no interview set. I wonder if they've even sent out the packet? I think I'm going to have my fiance bring them DS230 regardless.

Hi all you Fabulous Fellow Feb Filers!

I have been a bit incognito the last week, I've been sick sick sick. Good News, I get to live in the Caribbean and wait with my fiance for his visa, bad news, I get to pick up random little nasties from living in the tropics. But anyway.....

I've been checking in and seeing a ton of NOA2 approvals, speedy times at NVC and consulates with a fire under their butts to send out packet 3's.

Congrats to all of you that fit into one of those categories.

I have to say, the silver lining to being this sick is that I have not even had the energy to be anxious about this whole process. The embassy said they sent my packet 3 on the 13th but it still isn't here. Most of my entire visa processing time has been "somewhere in transit". I hope we get it soon, we want to start getting it all in order. I'll email the embassy tomorrow to see if it can be tracked.

BTW, thanks jlvr for starting this string. I felt way too guilty to say much on the other string. I wish there was some way California could speed it up for those folks.

Cheers

Sue

My latest update:

Just got an email from the consulate saying that our fiance packet (packet 4) has been mailed out today, which means we can go to the consulate VERY soon, but I don't think I can until June.

Hey, Sue! Sorry you've been sick, but yeah, I'm sure it was helpful not to think about this for a little while. The 13th was only 8 days  ago. The mail is slow there, huh? I think it is in Jamaica, too. Sending mail from here to there takes forever. I don't even know how long it will take the embassy to send the packet to my fiance. I'm hoping that if I just send him the form that he needs, he can take it to the embassy and get his interview appointment.

My latest update:

jlvr: Yes, I am going to be there for the interview. He has to travel the whole length of Mexico and he's never flown before! He will have a layover in Mexico City and he keeps texting me: "Are you sure there's no direct flight?" and "so there'll be a layover?" and "let me know if you find a direct flight." He will be hopeless trying to navegate Ciudad Juarez alone.

Plus I have to prep him on things like my birthday, and HIS birthday too! You'd think after seven years, he'd remember my birthday...and we got into an argument about if his birthday was December 3 or 5, and he took out his birthn certificate and it proved me right!

So you see, it's imperative that I go too! But don't stress about not being able to go...another woman who couldn't make her fiance's interview in Mexico wrote a letter for him to take with him explaining why she couldn;t be there. I don't think they asked for it, and they got approved, but it made her feel better.

I know I really have no room to complain, I have my NOA1 on the I-129F. It is dated Received 2/27, and notice date of 3/6/07.

I know it is early to look for an NOA2...but dang how does vermont scoot soo quickly? Mine went to Texas and then to California. I have never traveled from Texas to California, so I do hope it enjoyed the trip.

My schedule says June it will be adjudicated on June 4th MOL....Which is about right compared to the other timelines I am seeing, maybe just a bit longer, but you never know it could be quicker.

I know...hurry up and wait. :).

:unsure::huh::hehe::whistle:

Gaba,

Good Luck with packet 4!

I'm sure your fiance will feel comforted to know you are with him. first time travel can be scary enough without the anxiousness of being 'approved' or 'denied' at the end of it. I'm sure you two will be fine, I can't imagine how anyone could overlook the partnership you two have.

Cheers
