Hello all. Here is my situation.

I am married to USC and got my citizenship this December. However, my husband has got in bad fights with people he got a house with, they went to court and he wasted a lot of money on lawyers and still doesn't want to move out...Further after this 3 year court was over he decided to file for bankruptcy and that's where my patience has ended and I wanted to get separated. We separated in February and I was hoping that he won;t pursue another case and file for bancrupcy but he did. The judge approved but his "enemies" downstairs came to the court and try to throw everything they can at my husband to make bancrupcy not go through, part of that they said that his marriage is fraudulent.

I can't even express how tired I am of all this stuff that he brought into my peaceful life but at this point I am just looking for filing a divorce, but now on top of that I am worried if these people will decide to do something against me and complain and if something can happen to my life here at this point.

Any input will be appreciated.

Thank you.

You obtained citizenship. There is nothing to worry about. People make idle threats to immigrants all the time.

As long as you can prove that you entered the marriage in good faith, I don't care what they will say or try to claim against you. See the government has done its research about you and your husband and your marriage before you are approved for citizenship thats why you got it.

Now don't get me wrong if they find something they feel you lied about, maybe. But you know that USCIS has to take to court and prove everything agaiinst you to take the citizenship away.

As I said you entered the marriage in good faith, sleep good at night don't worry about rats.

I would only worry if there is some truth to their allegations. But if your marriage is bona fide then don't waste your energy on them.

However, a citizenship can be revoked, if it was obtained under false pretense( Misrepresentation).

Citizenship is revocable. But if OP is clean then she douldn't worry about those threats.
