Interesting. Did you forget the one from only the petitioner or were you also missing the one from the beneficiary?

We forgot the one from the beneficiary. It didn't add a long time to our process. They sent it to the next step within days of receiving this missing statement from us.

Posted

But I am assuming from this discussion that it can take longer if it is the petitioner's letter which is missing.(?) I hope they treat it as just a missing piece and not as something that starts the wait time all over again.

Yeah, I'm the beneficiary. My fiancé (petitioner) didn't send his letter. We still haven't got the first NOA either, but I know there's a lot of weather issues and delays and stuff. We had to send ours to the Texas lockbox. My letter (signed by me) is included in what's been sent off.

If I were you i'd just cross my fingers. Its possible that they will accept it because my fiancee and I just had one generic letter that both of us signed. So hopefully they take your letter, and your fiances signature on the other forms. But if not, like everybody else said, you'll get an RFE and have the chance to send it in....not an issue to worry about, it will just make it take a little longer

  • On Oct 13th AOS status was updated to say that a notice was returned due to post office being unable to deliver it. Tier two told me that it was biometrics or NOA1 (even though I had received both before this date).

  • A few weeks later I received a notice dated Nov 10th, in regards to my call about the Oct 13th notice. The new notice said that there were no RFE's or withholding on my case. So still not sure what this Oct 13th notice was about.

  • Received a letter from a NY office on Dec 23rd (dated Dec 10) stating that my medical was over 1 year old. (At this point my medical was only 7 months old)

  • Teir two submitted an internal service request to which I got a response telling me that I need to respond to RFE ASAP

  • Submitted another service request on 1/6/17. To which I got a response on 1/19/17 stating that my case was pending and is outside of processing time (no mention of RFE)

When was it sent? I just got my NOA1 (text and email) today and I sent mine May 6th it said it was received on the 10th so they may just be running a little behind. Mine took exactly 20 days from the day I sent it.

He didn't get it tracked.

I'm guessing 60 days... this is how long it took for me to go from mailing my i-129f to receiving the NOA2.

How long was it before your NOA1 came through?

You should always, without exception, use a tracking service (USPS Priority, UPS, FedEx) when sending anything to USCIS.

Hi everyone. We still haven't heard anything from USCIS, no notification that they've received it or anything. What should we do?

Make an Infopass and ask if they received it.

If it was lost in the mail and the RFE date has now passed, you will probably receive a denial notice shortly.

These are very, very important papers. ALWAYS send these kind of things with tracking. It's about your future.

I hope your package isn't missing, maybe they did receive it but the hardcopy was lost in the mail? Did you call USCIS to ask? Might be hard for them to figure out without a receipt number though, not sure.
