Can someone help me understand this letter I received from NVC? Is the case going to be sent to the Embassy for interview, and there we will submit the evidence they are asking for?

_F - FINANCIAL EVIDENCE:______________________________________

We reviewed the Affidavit of Support documentation you sent to the National Visa Center

(NVC). According to the current poverty guidelines, it does not appear you or any of your

sponsors meet the minimum income requirement to sponsor the intending immigrant(s)

for this petition. To avoid delays, you may have an additional sponsor complete an

Affidavit of Support (Form I-864) and provide it to the intending immigrant to submit at

their interview. At that time, a consular officer will make a decision regarding this

requirement.

To view the current poverty guidelines, go to http://www.uscis.gov/files/form/I-864P.pdf.

For tips on completing Form I-864, go to

http://www.uscis.gov/forms/tips-filing-form-i-864-affidavit-support-under-section-213a-

They are telling you that you don;t meet the guidelines and get a joint sponsor. You got Case Complete and you need to bring corrected/new I-864 package to interview. So that's good.

Sooooo my i130 was approved on 04-06-2016 and when I call NVC they say I have to wait for 35 days before they receive my case. Is that true? I have been following timelines of other people and mine seems to be taking way too long.

Thy will always say 35 days. It's all about your Service center. California and Texas takes forever to send there's. Mine was at

Nebraska approved Nov 16th,

Sent to NVC Nov 23rd.

Arrived at NVC Dec.2.

Got Case# Dec. 17th.

The big thing is to monitor that it was sent. Has your status on USCIS changed to "Sent to Department of Stat

Call USCIS and ask for a Tier 2 supervisor and ask "when did petition physically leave the service center".

Wow, gotta love government incompetence. He actually talked to a supervisor that said that? As if the government wouldn't have information on when the official record left their custody (it's a CYA, so OF COURSE they would have it). I think he might just have to keep trying and talk to different supervisors to get one that knows how to think independently of the script they are given. What a joke.

Thats Great... now one stupid question? Did you send passport size pictures this way?

I sent my documents email as well (also to MTL). We were told by our lawyer to bring the pictures to the interview, not to send them in. (BTW, not a stupid question at all =))

Congrats !! You're one of the few people I see from Potomac at the NVC stage (since the center is so new).. This gives me hope! Best of luck!

You'll be great!! Potomac sent my documents fast! Nvc took me under 2 weeks from the date they received my case to give me the case number. They seem more helpful than USCIS :)

Sorry for posting this twice. I have no idea how to use this forum

So, I believe I get to join you here? Our case number at USCIS gives me a wonderful "case sent to department of state" message... As they already sent it, I believe it should arrive t NVC within the upcoming week, judging by the dates I have seen in the signatures of people in this thread?
