Minneapolis Muslim Cashiers refuse to scan pork products

Fire them. If you're a cashier in a store that sells pork, then making sure the customers pork purchase goes as expected is part of your goddamn job.

Shouldn't really be necessary to fire them. If they are that concerned, I suppose they would remove themselves from such position or not apply for it to begin with. But this is not about religous concerns, obviously.

I have to agree with that. If it were a religious concern then they wouldn't have taken a job where booze and pork are sold in the first place. I think this is more about sticking a thumb in other peoples eyes. They are trying to make some sort of a statement.

Sadly, I have to agree that does seem to be the case in this instance. Interestingly, should they not also be refusing to handle any meat that is from animals that are improperly slaughtered or animals not killed in the name of Allah? (not sure what Target sells in terms of meat products though)

Easy. It is about using our "multiculturalism" and "diversity" STUPIDITY against us to impliment Shari'a law in the US, one step at a time.

Liberals seem to think that by supporting ####### like this, it will be a good way to beat down all signs of Christianity in the US, by making people want to eliminate ALL religion. If that fails, they will gladly use "tolerance" as an excuse to use the courts to create a police state where it is a crime to offend anyone (except for straigh white males). That is why you can always find lawyers willing to help these people. But if you are following world events, this is the camel's nose of Sharia in the tent of western civilization.

With Somalis, a good question. My experiences with some:

• 1992, when I was in grad school at Central Michigan, I had a Somali "apartment-mate" for 1 semester. (well, he rarely was actually IN, I think his major was poli-sci). I can remember him writing a lot of papers with OBVIOUS anti-white bias (which even an African-American prof had advised him to restrain) as well as plethora of other errors (I ran his papers for English based on standards of one of my high-school teachers in Calgary--the papers might have gotten a "D" out of PITY)--while applying for naturalisation!
  
• At a pizza-delivery place where I worked in 2002, had a Somali supervisor who claimed that he was "guaranteed heaven, due to being born a Muslim"; but rather obfuscatory when I asked him about his rather obvious whisky habit

And that makes a difference how? I never forced anyone to adopt my religion or make accommodations because of my beliefs. Why should it be OK for them to do it to me? I don't see why the sins of the fathers should have any bearing on this. They are here and are trying to force their beliefs on us. It isn't right.

I never said you or your wife ever did try to force your beliefs on anyone. The vast majority of people don't. However the few that do are giving the rest a bad name. The sad fact is that the few incidence of this tend to move the policy of the country in an attempt to be "tolerant". It's a slippery slope that ends up taking the rights of the many away to accommodate the few. For example, the stink about religious displays at Christmas time. The vast majority of Americans have no problem with it but because a few that complain the rest of us have to give up a tradition that has been enjoyed for most of our history.

My point, if someone doesn't want to violate their religious beliefs then they shouldn't put themselves in the position to do so. We shouldn't have to change our lives to accommodate them.

My offense or lack of is about the OP post is besides the point. That is his opinion and not mine. This is about here and now and what is going on in our country.
