The petitioner = The person looking to remove their conditions is the petitioner.

Part 8 = the US citizen or LPR that you gained your conditional residency through.

For example, if your husband was the petitioner to get you over here to the US (you were in another country), then he would be part 8 and you would be part 7.You would be the petitioner. OR If you are the person who filed the documents to get your husband to the US (and he was the one from another country), then you would be part 8 and your husband part 7.

Then if the person in part 7 needed an interpreter to fill out the form, the person who interpreted the form to them would sign part 9.

The petitioner on the I751 is the person looking to remove their conditions.

if that so, we sign it right. just confused because on that part 8 where my husband sign in the other side where they have question {acknowledgement of appointment at USCIS application support center} there a space on that were not sure if do we need to fill out about fingerprints, photograph etc. do we need to put the immigrant removing conditional name on that space.?

That part is dumb but yes the USC's information goes in part 8. The conditional resident's information goes in part 7 where they sign a similar thing.

No the USC isn't going to get fingerprints done. But it acknowledges that they have to if asked for it. 1/2 of this form feels like a bad copy/paste job.

Not only does the form suck, but there are sections missing in the Instruction Sheet as well... We sent in our packet today, and were using the Instruction pages as sort of a checklist. There were major sections missing (5 and 6, I think) in the instructions.

Who proofs these things? (Rhetorical question....)

A cover letter lists what is in the package. You can find examples in our wikis and guides.

The USCIS will throw it out anyhow but its handy to have. You do not have to include it.

Then don't include a cover letter. It's not needed.

That is a very good question, apparently nobody. At least, not any decent copy editor that would hopefully correct these glaringly apparent miscues on the form. I fear that the next set of immigration forms revisions will be full of these types of "not-fit-for-prime-time" errors. :ranting:
