Hello,

For one of our proofs of relationship, we're going to use cards/letters and chats/emails that we sent to one another. My question is this, "Is it ok to use these said proofs even though my fiancé likes to "sign" her name at the end by adding my last name?" I only ask because we both thought that it's adorable (especially me) that she did that. Would it be a big deal to the person who's going to be reading our application? Please note that we added this matter on our letter of how we met. We added the specific date on when she (us) started doing this.

Any quick response would be appreciated as we're getting ready to finalize every documents so that we can finally mail our application by the end of this month (April).

Thanks so much!

If it were me I would not include those. You're not from a difficult embassy - visa wise and significant front loading isn't a must. I would not want to leave it open for any suspicion or question. My fiance calls me his wife. I've never used any cards or notes where he used that term. In fact, I told him he should stop doing that.

Use other proofs of meeting and relationship...chat logs, phone logs, etc should be sufficent.

Good Luck!

I would definitely not use anything that shows her first name with your last name. If you have any USPS receipts for cards or things you have sent her with dates highlighted then use them. Use any chats from fb, viber, yahoo etc that does not show the last name...like other poster said, if and that is a big if, they look at them in details it will look suspicious and might raise a red flag.

Ok. We won't use them then. We have other options to use as proofs.

Thank you all so much for answering. I really appreciate it. We weren't sure if we should include them so I thought I'd ask here. I'm so glad I did.

Again, I appreciate getting a solid answer on this matter.

Thanks!

You do not have to show the messages on the cards/ letters; just photo capture the date and the card was addressed to you and attached any proof of delivery, the airwaybill that states the sender and consignee. I only actually attached photos of cards that I sent to my fiance, photo i used was his FB post when he received the cards and AWB. Did the trick, I sent the card for Valentines day he posted it and there you can capture the timeline from AWB and when he recievd it.

I also included photos of flowers (from my FB post) that he sent me and the AWB that comes with the flowers.

As for emails, expand the address portion, snip only your names/ email addresses and dates. No need to show the entire email.

I only made some screen shots or snip the portion i wanted to show, lay -out in a word file and print with text explaining the photos that follows.

They only ask for proof of communications in a span of time; they are not interested with what we are talking about :)

Front loading is fine during I-129F application but not really necessary; we did that since we were only about 6 months in a relationship then.

Give more efforts in the proofs on meeting in person. Good luck.

Nope, don't submit them. There have been a few cases here on VJ where the USEM grilled K-1ers who referred to their fiancé(e) as their spouse.

Yeah, thanks Tahoma. We won't be sending them anymore. We'll use a different proof.

Thanks

Hey, thanks cristina16, you just gave me an idea in regards to the email proofs. We'll be doing that same thing you did. That's good to know. Thanks a lot!

So will it be ok to include every email that we've sent to each other from the very beginning until the present or would that be too much? Thanks!
