Called the misinformation line, tier one person tried to tell me the Tier two person wouldn't know if an appointment letter was sent out or not. Er yeah right. Insisted on talking to them anyway, have been scheduled for a call back.

I know my ASC office isn't a busy one so that can't be the reason for the delay.

Got call back in 20 mins, officer was able to see if I had been sent an appointment  and said that I had a pending case but that the appointment wasn't set yet, he was also able to give me my other receipt number so I can check the status online - why this can't be on the extension notice I have no idea.

So quick question. I just received my Biometrics appointment letter however the date they had us down for 31st of May in which I will be out of town. I sent the letter back in and put a "Check" for them to reschedule. I sent the notice back on the 23rd of May, if I do not receive a new appointment letter by the 30th of May, should I call USCIS to see what's going on?

Any help is great.

Thanks again.

Green Card is definitely a valid form of ID. I showed mine at my Biometrics and all was fine.

Oh, good! Thank you!

If you truly live in Alabama, it would behoove you to go to the DMV and get a non-driving picture State ID. Alabama is really wonky about immigrants - my spouse carries her passport at all times when we visit my parents in Birmingham (where I grew up).

Yes, your Green Card is good - but sometimes Alabama businesses and even police want to see that you have a LOCAL ID. Not necessary for USCIS, but better for you in the long run.

Yeah, I haven't had that many issues in general, but it has happened from time to time. I definitely plan on getting a state ID in the next few weeks. Thank you, Sukie!

Ugh. OK. Wife has called USCIS and the agents said that we should have received our biometrics letter already. USCIS also got my wife's last name wrong on our initial extension letter. We put in a change for that and haven't received confirmation yet either. Hopefully we'll have answers soon.

Have you gotten your Biometrics letter yet? The number you need to use is called "Application Number 2" and is at the bottom right of your Biometrics letter. It starts after the letters "CRI89" with EACxxxxxxxxxx

Seems like it makes more sense to have it on the NOA1 letter, but no...they make it difficult!

Now that I see there are standalone CSC and VSC tabs and a separate Combined tab, the entries are not exactly matching. I do not know enough about Google docs to fix the problem. Can you please take a look?

I cross checked the individual tabs against the combined one, made sure all entries were present, then removed the combined tab. Everyone can now look at their separate data set for CSC and VSC. I also thought it would be interesting to see how many people end up with RFEs or interviews, and added a column to each tab to record that info.

I'm so glad to see things are picking up with biometrics appointments!

Happy to hear! We resent the form with a new check. It was received 5/17 and check is finally cashed today. Ironically, we are driving to Vermont this weekend.
