I spoke with an agent at NVC yesterday who said that there's no available opening for May interview at Lagos. This morning I received an email from NVC that we are now in the queue awaiting an interview appointment. I am really hoping we get June interview. Does anyone knows when they start scheduling for June.

Probably by next week

:) Thank you!

lol, yes it's funny because I've just about teared up for several other approvals on here, but I couldn't manage to get a tear out for ours this morning, I guess the shock hasn't worn off. You can't go MIA on your interview date, not until you tell us the good news ;)

This is family, when one rejoices we all rejoice. I love it.

:) Thank you!

:) Thank you!

Oh yes I am, I will be clock watching and mind wondering...his interview is super early (@ 7:00 am). The embassy is about an hour away but he is planning on leaving extra early to ensure that traffic is not an issue for him. I will call him and pray with him before he goes in...and let the most high take control thereafter.

I am even thinking of taking the day off and sitting on my couch with a wine glass or beer bottle in hand and a bag of chips! Hey, it will be noon somewhere.

I know what you mean about getting the news. All the hoops each of us have gone through...the luster of it all seems to have tarnished just a tad bit...merely because of all the hurry up and wait phases we got through. The emotions will come, trust me...its just a delayed reaction (shock).

I'm thinking I might have a claim (disability or something) from post traumatic stress syndrome because of this process. Ugh!!! Just jokes to lift any spirits or nerves that maybe hanging out there (dwheels and hubby).

We are APPROVED!!!!!! My husband just called me, he finished his interview not even 30 minutes ago.

At first he called me sounding down and I'm like "What's wrong"?? Then he goes, "I don't think you're ready for what she (the officer) told me". I'm like what did she say??!!! Then he goes, "She said I should go meet my wife in a months time"!

I'm telling you, it was just God! He was only asked 2 questions:

When did you meet your wife?

How old is she?

Then she said he was approved. He said she didn't ask for a single document that he carried, not even the tax documents for 2015. She was just flipping through the documents we sent at USCIS and NVC stage and she told him that she liked our wedding cake (which was made by my husband's sister).

Visajourney and particularly this thread has prepared us beyond measure! We weren't prepared as well in 2014 as we were this time around.

I just want to say THANK YOU to everyone that prayed and encouraged us. This feels like family here. Dwheels I just want to say a special thank you to you, you're a blessing to many on here and a gem. Less than 6 days to go for you and hubby! :dancing: Without a doubt I know yours will go well!

I plan to post a review by later today once I get the details from him.

Smiling as I read your post. So happy for you. Congratulations. God is good. Hope he has a safe travel and POE to you.

I have literally had my phone in my hand all day waiting. I saw this ad starting praising God and tears. My husband was ike one of your friends got approved I read to him what you wrote and he was like "2 questions. Thank you Jesus". JD sends his regards.

Congratulations my dear. Tell your husband he plays too much. My husband if he comes out that embassy all sad I will slap o him. LOL

I am thrilled for ya'll. And yes this time next week will be our turn. Lord my heart rate just went up. happy-times-smiley-emoticon.gif

Aww, I'm sorry for keeping you waiting. I haven't been able to sleep really since about 2:30AM my time, was just waiting and waiting and checking the status on ceac to see if the file was touched because at least then I knew he'd be close to being seen. I checked back around 7:00AM and that's when I saw the date update to today, then my heart began to race. He called about an hour later.

Please send JD my regards as well. I'm rooting for you guys. Can't wait until next Thursday :D! Prior to the interview I had been sending my husband interview reviews from other Nigeria filers, so he just asked me if I was going to post our review "on the website". I said yup! just waiting for him to get back to the hotel and get settled.

I love those dancing emoticons hahaha

congratulations!! so happy for you :)

:) Thank you Noorie!

SMH...I think NVC needs some help on the data entry, programming and email response side. I have contacted them on several occasions informing them that they are sending me Information on a case that has nothing to do with me....LMA*. Lord I hope the person is getting their updates. I don't understand it.

Don;t worry the tears will come. Don't know if you are a parent yet, but its like being pregnant waiting that long 9 months for birth. I mean you know a baby is coming you dreamed of how they will look. If it be boy or girl, if you didn't cheat and find out. And until they put that little miracle into your hands that's when it gets real.

I know many they say "I wont believe it until I see them at the airport and in my arms. The tears will come and we will all rejoice Hallelujah!

See now you gt me tearing up. I blame the hormones. :girlwerewolf2xn: hehe

This morning I received an email from NVC that we are now in the queue awaiting an interview appointment. I am really hoping we get June interview. Does anyone knows when they start scheduling for June.

Probably next week maybe 27th or 28th. It's usually always the last few days of the month.
