This may sound so silly, but is there anything we mere humans can do to speed up the interview scheduling process? My husband's case was completed 6 weeks ago for cr1 visa and we still don't have an interview date. The thing that's concerning me is every other case i've heard at going through my embassy (Nairobi) has had interview scheduled 2-3 weeks after their case complete. Any advice for this weary soul?

Aside from a request to expedite and getting approved from the embassy (you can ask and find out in about 2 days. Legitimate guidelines apply)

You just have to wait. This may be their busy season or their slow season. Have you called NVC to ask if Nairobi is full for May?

It's nothing to worry about. You are in the queue if you got case compete it's just a wait your turn kind of thing. Hang n there.

I just updated you ion spreadsheet I had Uganda, but you will be interviewing in Kenya.

We have had 3 touches on ours.....

Status update 7th, 8th & 11th of April....

We did make a request for earlier interview but got no feedback as of yet.

My wife has been urging me to call the embassy but I don't really see the need.

I called them yesterday and they told me the interview scheduling for May is still available until this Friday included.

I hope Madrid schedules me... Otherwise, I'll have to wait for a June interview.

We are in the same boat. Our case was completed on March 11 and we still haven´t been scheduled for an interview at the Embassy in Madrid. I´ve called the NVC multiple times and we haven´t been given any explanation for the delay. I´ll post when we (finally) get our interview date, so hopefully yours should be scheduled a few days later. Wishing you the best of luck!

I just got off the phone with Lizzy of NVC and she mentioned that interview scheduling for May has been filled :wow: . Though she said this is not set in stone...she also said that they only really schedule interviews for the first 2 weeks on each month for the upcoming month and due to the high volume of petitions, the dates sent by the respective embassies usually get filled pretty fast!

She stated that the next scheduling for interviews will be done in the first 2 weeks in May for JUNE! :clock:

I was told this was the case back in Feburary with the NVC.. it depends on each embassy/consulate and how many slots they have available.

I had a case complete mid January, but since cases were handled in FIFO order [first in first out] I didn't get an assignment in late Jan for March. Instead I got my IV letter with interview date in late February for April.

It'll happen, just hang in there.

@dwheels76 Lol.. Is it Normal or something I should be worried about ?

Doesn't mean good or bad. The CO has to study your evidence and do their due diligence just like we do. I sure wouldn't let it bother you. But I get the nervousness, Cuz its like will this be the CO that sends out field agents, look us up in Google, Facebook, call our contacts.

Who knows you can make your self cray cray over this. LOL
