Here is my advice:

If you have done 2015 taxes and do not have a transcript take: Updated AOS, 1040, W2s, 1099s

If you HAVE done 2015 taxes and have a transcript, take updated AOS, tax transcript (no W2s necessary with transcript).

If you are ANYWHERE close to the poverty line, take paystubs from January 1st to prove 2016 projected income, or take a letter from the sponsor's employer stating annual wage.

Good luck!!!

Some embassy/consulates will ask for updates and/or proof of current income and some won't. But it's good to be prepared!

Sukie in NY

i need yoir advice as well,my AOS in nvc did not gp through, they said oir income is low by 7000,then we did not add the second job of my cosponsor which is not up to 6months,but now my cosponsor is 6months in that new job,nvc said we should add additional or look for another sponsor, and take our updated AOS to interview,,can 6 months pay stubs of the new job be enough to prove current income even if we had the IRS of old job which we sent to NVC?or how can we prove this income to be acceptable to embassy?

I'm starting to feel frustrated here. I have been calling once a day NVC since I got the email notifying about case complete (late March) to find out if an interview has been already scheduled. But the answer is always no...

I've barely seen people on this journal that have done the consular processing through the US Embassy in Madrid, so it's hard to find a guide. I wish I had more light on this subject!

Congratulations to all of you who have been advancing in your paths :-)

Thanks Dwheels! He went to Children's place when we applied for K1 so he intends on going back there again. I couldn't remember how long it took the last time (was back in 2014) so that's good to know.

And yes, my husband is not as detailed as I am so I'll be sure to extract EVERY detail from him so I can relay it back to you  . Am getting nervous, feels like just yesterday that we got our interview date. But I know we will both do well on our interviews.

I know. We we were assigned on Feb. 24th we had 64 days to interview. It seemed forever. I put the countdown ticker on my phone and here we are now at 21 days and for you 14 days. OMG.

My husband has told me "Stop o telling me how many days, minutes, hours." hehe

He went and bought his outfit for interview. decided we would look to much if we wore matching outfit But my dress is being made anyway. We are saving the matching outfits for May 15th our anniversary party.

We are so ready. If they called and said be there tomorrow we would be ready too go. You hear me Lagos call email we ready. :goofy:
