K-1 Visa Approved, Got Married, I need to see ANOTHER doctor now??

Hi fellow visa holders! I'm from Canada, my fiance and I were married last week! Now, I was going through the AOS packet.... I got my Advanced parole and Work Authorization forms filled out with it. Then my fiance found all this other ####### they require (on the instruction form)... MORE passport pics (2), and another doctor visit to verify my immunizations??? Did anyone else have to do that?

if you imuniitazionms and your medical exam are more that a year old you have to do it again just if a year have passed after you medical out in canada

Yep I got them all only 6 months ago.. But it said something about going to a civil surgeon to verify my immunizations. I feel like it's gonna cost sooo much money to see a US Doctor ?

I don't understand why this step is necessary. The certified doctor who did my immigration exam already verified that my immunizations were up to date and completed. So why must we go to another doctor only a few months later... Especially when my K1 visa was granted since I HAD all necessary medical documents

I'm from Canada. Had my medical exam done and passed (plus proof of all vaccines) BEFORE my interview for the K1 visa. Now I've entered the USA, got married and am applying for my adjustment of status. Read something about needing to go visit a civil surgeon on TOP of filling out all the required forms (like 6 forms) AND I need 2 more passport photos....?? Is this for real?? Did all of you really have to go see a civil surgeon AFTER passing your medical exam AND getting approved for a k1 visa?

Some other people do it differently, but I went to see a civil surgeon and brought my DS-3025, I believe it was that I got from the Panel Physician in Canada. It only cost me $50 as I did not need a full physical due to having it done in Canada before immigrating. It depends on who you go to and you need to call around to your civil surgeons in the area. Some are not aware that as a K-1 immigrant that you do not need a full physical.

It seems that you didn't do your homework to learn about all the steps involved. Adjustment of Status is an entire new round of forms, documents, and fees.

Regarding the medical, often if your exam for the K1 is fairly recent (within a year of adjustment filing) just submitting a copy of the I-693 vaccination sheet will be enough. If it isn't accepted then it would involve a trip to a civil surgeon.

Instructions for the I-485, page 4, section 7C is what you should be following.

I would also suggest you make a copy of that page, highlighting section 7c and attach it to the copy of the DS-3025 that section states is all you need to send. Some adjudicators are not the brightest bulbs which is why I made the suggestion.

Thanks everyone! The issue is that I submitted my totally filled out DS-3025 at the POE. I thought the medical stuff was official and done with since my k1 was approved . So now I guess I have to call Manitoba Health to mail my vaccination sheet all over again, fill out another form and go pay to see a Civil surgeon. Just seems like the USCIS has a really terrible system in place (or trouble keeping records).
