I have a question for the forum, I just got off the phone with a tier2 representative, they recieved my paper work on the 15th and she says they uploaded my paperwork on the 21st. My EAD was approved and I have to wait until 90days from April 15 to recieve it. Now I got a job offer to start early July , I don't understand if there is nothing pending on the case why they don't go ahead and produce the card?

She didn't specify, was a bit pissy with me, tried telling her I have a job offer , my biometrics cleared and no RFE.i wonder if they understand what people are going through after paying bills. Asked if I could expedite it and she said I wasn't qualified to expedite my case.

I don't think they do realize as you said especially if people need that to get a job to help with bill and rent or the 1s who have the job offer and just need the card... On the flip side they probably get allot of bullshit calls from people playing he pity card asking for expedite services that genuinely aren't in need of it which ruin it for those who legitly need the expedite... I was going to call next Friday at day 75 but I may call today since you already got approved and I applied a few days previous to you

It sucks because I have nothing holding up my case what am I supposed to tell the employer? Does this mean I have to wait all through the summer, I knw they have a lot to do but if nothing is holding up a case why not go ahead and produce the card instead of letting it sit all through the 90 days

Once You got approved you should be getting your notice in the mail to say it got approved maybe that can keep the employer satisfied for now to know hat it's approved you just waiting on the card... Maybe the employer could make an exception?? I've even heard of employer giving people the jobs by with holding there pay until the card is in hand

...And "just" like that my case status for my EAD was magically updated to "card being produced" haha I guess it was just sitting in a pile. I'll definitely be submitting a service request if I haven't heard anything in regards to my GC by July 17 as stated by the officer. Seems like it works!

Hi Blessboy7, how did you know your EAD was approved? Do you already have it online or were you informed by the Tier 2 representative?

WE actually have the same timeline and have problems accessing the status online. I still can't access my EAD and AP case numbers online.

Hi All! I have been MIA for a while, but I have been following this thread. Let me tell you how things 'unfolded' for me...so after I went to my fingerprints appointment on May 10th, I hadn't heard ANYTHING from the USCIS. The website shows all three cases last updated on April 18th - ridiculousness at the fullest!
Anywho, I decided to call the USCIS yesterday and of course they were not very helpful and told me to wait till June 28th and call them if I do not hear anything by then. So, much like what happened to ckibs - today MIRACULOUSLY my EAD/AP cases got updated saying that my card is in production (nothing on my I-485 though - ugh!). IT WAS ABOUT TIME!!! I am so relieved and a little angry that I had to call them to make this happen! However, I am trying to focus on the positive side of things - I will finally be able to get a driving license, change my name, find a job and become a member of society again!

Again - I am in Alaska, so I bet it will take more than two weeks for me to have my card in the mail, but oh well - at least the weather is nice and sunny! :)

Best of luck to you all! I hope you all have similar news (without having to call the USCIS) soon!

AOS timeline:

3/22 - package mailed to Chicago Lockbox

3/28 - package received (as noted on NOA we got in the mail later)

4/04 - NOAs sent

4/13 - NOA hardcopies received in the mail

4/18 - all three (I-485, I-765, I-131) touched (as per MyCase USCIS tracker)

4/27 - received Biometrics appointment letter

5/09 - Biometrics @ 2 pm

6/15 - called USCIS as there was no further info since the Biometrics appointment

6/16 - EAD/AP cases updated - card is in production

I'll be watching to hear what you hear from the call if you don't get an update soon. We have similar timelines and we ran into an RFIE on the 485. My status says ready for interview but then 6 weeks later got an RFIE. Now the EAD timeline estimate on VJ is getting pushed back further and further. On the frustrating side.
